1. gentile times.. a. why do we believe in such a thing as the gentile times?
this arises as it is not specifically mentioned in the bible as described by jehovahs witnesses.. b. why do we calculate that they start with the destruction of jerusalem in 607 b.c.e.?
ORIGIN OF THE UNIVERSE
Can we really make a logical distinction between:
(1) The natural universe having no beginning and thus no creator
(2) God having no beginning and then creating the universe
Is the latter more supportable? Or is it simply more comfortable?

the contradiction below is just one among a great many which show that the bible cannot be trusted to give an accurate account of jesus life.. mark believes that jesus cursed the fig tree before he drove the merchants from the temple:.
the next day as they were leaving bethany, jesus..said to the tree, "may no one ever eat fruit from you again.
" (mark 11:12-14).
It's not so much the error that gets to me, Joseph...
...more incriminating is Jesus' attitude towards an inanimate object.
This is just not something you can imagine the Son of God doing. It's childish.
The same type of angry reaction he displays in the temple. Wouldn't he have thought about the problem of salesmen in the temple before God sent him down to earth?
So if he really wanted to correct the problem, he would have had a proactive plan to do so. It was certainly within his power to change things.
Instead, his solution released perhaps a few sacrificial animals and slowed sales for maybe a day. It was little more than a rebuke, so 'his father's house' no doubt continued to be shamed.

we all know what toilets are for - the disposing of.
waste, dead goldfish, etc.. now, the watchtower society finds charity and compassion.
to be highly inconvenient things - giving to the poor.
This is a really good composition, metatron...
You could send this to JWs and I'm sure they would read it...just needs to start with the more compassionate comments (of which there are plenty) and finish with the comments about the toilet... so as not to offend.
Your article remind me how glad I am that I never had to experience life as a JW elder. (I was appointed MS at 22 but didn't last long )
