The idea that some 'evil mastermind intelligence' lurks in a creature named Satan and/or his demons is so banal that it is hard to see why anyone would believe it.
We know of many examples of evil humans. They may have had charisma and a putative intelligent mind. (Think Hitler, if you weren't already) But there were some serious flaws in their logical and cognitive abilities.
I don't buy it that a perfect (angelic) creature could have such a flaw. It's oxymoronic rubbish.

By the way, yes, it did happen 'on my watch'. I refrained from saying so directly, but I see you figured it out. At first, I was told it was mutual. I didn't buy it. I was angry off and on...of course I felt hurt too.
I would love to chat more with you about it (or just theoretically about the subject)...I will have to be discreet though, as most of my posting is from my girlfriend's computer.

Many other animal species are known to commit rape (the males of course). It is a reproductive strategy in many cases for males who cannot otherwise get a mate.
It is indeed a sexual act for humans as well; I can't imagine the reason people try to deny it.

I found out recently that, in the past, my girlfriend was sexually accosted by a 'friend'. In fact, they worked together and had many mutual good friends. Somehow he had duped her into believing that it was mutual...and she wasn't able to tell anyone about it for a long time.
I think that he showed no respect for her. Having met him (fortunately he survived the experience due to my ignorance of the situation), I think he is a coward and a prick. But I would make no argument against lopping his balls off...might do him some good.
I think the statistics, by the way, don't reflect accurately enough the disparity between women who know their sexual abuser and women who are sexually abused by strangers. I'd say that most cases go unreported...because it is someone they know and they feel guilty to tell.

No one has commented on the 'chemical castration'....reminiscent of "A Clockwork Orange"...perhaps it renders him unable to have an erection.
There is a biological basis for the crimes he commited. I think that removing that biological stimulus is a sound idea. The question is...how well does it work?
Has anyone heard of this before?

I think it's because I told him I went to Europe with a girl and didn't try to sleep with her. No, I am not gay (and I did think about sleeping with her...I just didn't want to hurt her). i thought it would be interesting to get a cross-sectional view of your opinions on whether all drugs (lsd, heroin, cocaine, etc.
be legalized so that they then became freely available to the general population, in the same way that alcohol and tobacco are .

This is a good discussion...
I think that drugs can successfully be legalized, but it would require a lot of forethought. For example, drug companies can produce the drugs at lower cost and higher quality. This would eliminate competition from (and between) street drug dealers, and also the consequences of taking drugs made from sloppy chemical reactions.
But if companies are allowed to produce drugs, would they be allowed to market them?
In our current society, drug companies mercilessly pound their products at consumers. Actually, their advertising dollar targets doctors over patients at a shocking ratio. They will host benefit dinners, and other events, even paying for doctors to take holidays! Apparently doctors are no less susceptible to brainwashing than the average person.
I think that if legalization were to happen, companies would have to produce the drugs AT COST to undercut drug dealers and be carefully watched in their business practices.

im not sure if i was married to a psycho or not and am wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with their ex.
weve been divorced for 2-1/2 years and have had our ups and downs.
because shes a diehard jw and doesnt have grounds to get re-married i get an ear full from her blah...blah.. anyway, one minute shes like "its terrible that i have to wait for you to get married before i can" and then this past weekend she calls me to talk.
