This is absolutely disgusting. I really hope the Police file an appeal against the sentence, its a pure joke. If I was in a congregation where he was attending and I had kids I would just have to stop attending.
Imagine voluntarily going to a place and choosing to associate with a known predatory paedophile with your kids? Surely peoples gut instincts will kick in over their religious ideals? Forgiveness is OK in theory, but you cant take risks with your own kids.

the last time i went on the field service was around the very early 90's.
i have a genuine question for any jw that are active in the door to door work still.. i lived for finding the person that wanted to debate things, i would always be the one to call on the local atheist, vicar, etc etc.
and would hammer home all that was had learnt and research myself with the wts literature of course.
S'funny, I was talking about field service with my mum this week. Neither of us have been out door knocking for years, but we reckon it must be getting a lot harder.
She said she had 2 witnesses on her door that didnt recognise her, she gave them a lame-o excuse like "im busy" and they just rolled over and gave up straight away.
We said that the door knocking was nothing like what Jesus had his disciples do. Basically they only had to mention it to people once and if they werent interested then fair enough they shook the dust from their feet and moved on. This business of going over and over and over the same doors for years on end finding new and more devious ways to get people roped in - like dont tell em your a JW "were doing a christian work", or dont tell em its even religious "were offering this Awake magazine about the lesser spotted greater throated blue weavil eater".
Its just not natural for a normal human being. So glad I dont have to do it anymore.
avoid parents/friends/elders finding out who or what the situation is?.
do you feel bad for "lying" to ones on here to protect who you really are?.

thought i'd bring this up again, i found it on the watchtower library and thought it was extremely annoying how they can say rubbish like this.. rape has become increasingly common today.
a major reason seems obvious.
sex and violence explode from tv and movie screens, from radio, newspapers, magazines and billboards.
I hate the way they sensationalise things, like the crappy tabloid papers do, and generate a fear of crime that is unecessary. As far as I understand it rape by a stranger is pretty rare. You are most likely to be raped in your own home by a member of your family.
They dont cover that so much do they? What to do when your elder husband pushes himself onto you and he knows you cant scream because it would wake the kids up, the neighbours would hear and they know you represent Jehovah etc etc

when i was growing up, i remember my parents would put those plastic "cover" things over my sisters panties and put those protective sheets on the bed to help them with potty training.
especially when they were doing great with using the potty on their own during the daytime.. my aunt in texas would beat her kids arses if they wet the bed.
(now i do not agree with this way).
She had all of her kids trained (and she bragged about it) by the time they were 9 months old and no older than a year.
WOW! Thats terrible. Poor kids. Whats the big rush, they arent going to be able to get to University any quicker because they mastered the crapper before they could walk.
My daughters just rushed in from playing out and shouted "Im desperate for the toilet, can you fetch me a pair of shorts and a pair of knickers" so maybe I didnt do such a good job after all!!
Funniest thing when she was potty training was that she was immensely good at peeing standing up like a boy, and she also was pretty good at peeing in the garden when she couldnt be bothered to interrupt her game to go inside. It really didnt go down that well at her Aunty Prissy Pants house when she peed up against the tree at the end of the garden standing up like a boy before anyone could repress stop her.
i was just wondering how many of you still get a quezy feeling in your stomach after hearing someone on the news use the phrase "peace and security" or after reports on the news of all the large earthquakes that have been reported this last week or so?
i know we can all rationalize that there are always earthquakes and wars etc.... but i swear, no matter how hard i try to shake the sick feeling in my stomach when i hear all this stuff i can't seem to do it.
i still have visions in my head of what armagedon will be like from all the pictures i grew up seeing in the publications, talk about scarred for life.

I read an e-mail to my mum from a JW and she was trying to interpret the news and predict who the King of the North and the King of the South was, and I just laughed. Dear god, how wearisome trying to force things to fit into prophecies when they just WONT! The JW's were really screwed on that Kings thing once the cold war ended, and it made me realise how somethings things fit, and sometimes they dont.

I feel like pull ups are just a commercial gimmick to make us mums feel like we have to buy one more thing to be a 'Good Mum'.
It was 7 years ago that I potty trained now, but if I remember rightly, I left if for ages because nappies are so useful, especially if you need to go into town and getting to a public toilet is a damn nuisance, and when I finally let her come out of nappies I think I just let her wet herself lots.
It seemed to work. Shes 10 now and uses a toilet beautifully.

Im really lucky, I dont have to hide who I am because theres no-one for me to lose.
An no I dont embelish, its completely true that I have the body of a super model, the personality of a Nobel Peace Prize winner, and the face of an angel.
I went back to school and became a maths teacher 3 years ago, its FANTASTIC!!!
Good luck, its a really great thing to do, you will LOVE it. Plus (in the UK at any rate) career changers are valued as teachers because they are older, more mature, and have invaluable experience of the real world. I honestly think its one job type where older really is better.
