I've watched both Star Treck and Wolverine the other day in the same afternoon, then half way through wolverine fell asleep, woke up half an hour later at the moment when he realized he'd been manipulated. So I'll have to go and watch it again, but good movie otherwise

The New Star Trek....
by Quentin interry sent this to me this morning...... .
imagine being given the opportunity to reboot an old and beloved tv series with an uneven history of spotty films which pretty much had run its course.. j.j.abrams did what only a one in a million director could do: he knocked the ball out of the park!.
this film is outrageous fun!.

Do you believe in MIRACLES?
by nicolaou ini'll be honest and admit that i did.
the 'moses' miracles, solar miracles, jesus miracles - everything.
so no belief bashing from me on this one, i promise.. all the same, how do you reconcile belief in miracles with that little voice in your head that says "hmmmmm?

sure I do, its a miracle I'm back on this site today even though I thought I never would, so there
as for other twighlight zone kind ones, well I've had few of those too, though I like to think we are only scratching the surface in our understanding of how laws of universe and nature really work so to our limited minds it is miracle the same kind a kid feels when as if by miracle food appears every time mom is around. He can't explain mechanics of it so gotta be a miracle and it is, in his perception.

Are there any post JW dating sites around?
by Nellie ina computerphobic friend of mine (seriously) wants me to sign her up on a few dating sites.
she's inactive and not interested in going back, but imo would benefit from being with someone who understood the whole "borg" thing.
is there such a thing?.

There you go Simon, there's a good business idea for ya, a dating site for ex-JW, niche market is growing and willing ... could probably make a few quid and make this site here pay for itself ;)

Witness 007 returns to wife and meetings..I give up! Sorry no choice!
by Witness 007 inmy wife's been having mental problems since hurting her back at work...we split for 8 weeks {her doing} then she rings me and says she "can't cope and is lonely" so i return {the drama continues} she seems more stable, sleeping all night...what a change!
her mood had become alittle more stable.
she found a part time job, and has not been dragged off by security like her last job...much improved though she dropped 10 kilos in weight.

I've seen it before, some people just can't cope it mentally when they leave a cult, so for the sake of their mental health is almost better if they are there. We are not all of the same build some take a bit more time (and pounding) and for others... things go so slow that it would pretty much take rest of their lives to get it going. Hope it works out for you.
Wish you all the best mate!

NOAH'S SON BITH: Was he Df'd or did he just "miss the boat"?
by cameo-d inreally, folks...if noah lived to be 950 years old, does it stand to reason that he would only have 3 children????.
in irish mythology, cessair (or ceasair) was the leader of the first inhabitants of ireland before the biblicalflood, in what may be a christianisation of a legend that pre-dates the conversion, but may alternatively be the product of post-conversion pseudohistory.. she was daughter of noah's son bith and his wife birren.
according to legend, when her father was denied a place in the ark by noah, cessair advised him to build an idol.

NOAH's Greatgrandpa Methuselah - Did He Drown or What?
by unclebruce inaccording to my book of holy fables (gen 5:27), noah's greatgrandpa methuselah died aged 969 years, in the exact same year noah floated away to a damp new world in a box full of tame animals.
but the bible does not say that he was among those who died in the flood.. according to bible mathmatics, adam was alive when methuselah was born making methuselah the only human link between adam and noah.. so what happened to poor old methuselah?
did jehovah, out of respect, wait till the old boy carked it before having it piss down on the rest of humanity?
