i dont believe it at all.
in fact, you could see that everything they do is because there is some sort of record keeping behind it, i.e.
I tell people that JW's are expected to turn in a time slip at the end of every month detailing their field service activity, and they can hardly believe it.

Yeah, "field service" - read - controlling mechanism. I think if it weren't for "monthly service reports" that many dubs would much sooner start asking questions. But with this stuff in place they are placed like cogs in a machine that just can't stop and think for a moment what it's doing.

I don’t believe it at all. In fact, you could see that everything they do is because there is some sort of record keeping behind it, i.e. being seen as “upstanding jdubs”. Just as Jesus described it well “All the works they do they do to be seen by people” Mathew 13:5.
Along the similar lines even the reason why they help sometimes is so that they can have legitimate reason to intrude in your life. (sort of like return visit)
I remember this elduber who used to help people with small things like say give them cabbage from his garden only to have now open door to intrude in their life.
And lastly, when they give you something it was usually destined for rubbish dump anyway. However, it was good they could find a victim to give it to so that unsuspecting sucker now has to be eternally thankful for this piece of junk.

i think from time to time we have posters here that may be assigned by the gb to speak xjw speak and try to discourage posters from attacking the organization, or to just give up our internet fight to expose them, to just give up our efforts and forget about the wt.
if they did this they would have to keep close tabs on whoever they assign because they know that there is a great possiblity they may turn on them.
or perhaps they would trust no one except themselves and so you might even have a member of the gb actually posting in disguise.
Bulls, I don't believe that. This site is just one of many out there. Though I'd like to think we make some dent, but nah. I mean whole world was watching it on CNN, CBS, ABC or read it in Guardian, NY Times, so whatever we say here is just a commentary of the main news out there.
If those media houses didn't make a dent nothing will.

I think there was a similar question yesterday, or was it about charity. Anyway, one thing that used to piss me off was when every few years we had an additional box to finance missionaries coming home for a holiday (a top of two existing boxes). I mean I'm always for it to help someone in need. But WTS sent them there to do their job and now refuse to pay for their airfares. Helloooo, am I missing something?

if a witness plays lotto, and doesn,t repent, he is disfellowshipped.. if a witness steals, and doesn't repent, he is disfellowshipped.. if a witness fornicates, and doesn't repent, he is disfellowshipped.. does this mean that the jw's consider playing lotto being just as bad as stealing or fornicating or even killing?.
how about you, in what order would you class sins?.

1. if a witness wears a beard will be disfellowshipped for being rebalious
2. if a witness dissagrees with elders he'll be disfellowshipped for being rebalious
3. If a witness goes to police to report an elder for sexual abuse he'll be disfellowshipped for bringing shame upon Jehovah's name (never mind what elder did to his family)
4. If you disagree with anything at all and speak about it to others in congregation you'll be disfellowshipped for endangering the unity of congregation
actually list goes on and on. I think people under iron curtain had more freedom than most JW
