I wont argue with people who ask leading ? just for the sake of arguing. I am not stupid.
... and you are here because??? Why are you here really?? What do you think would Jesus do if he was here?

my hero is isaac asimov because he believed that mankind could eventually live in harmony with nature and itself through the exercise of logic and the action of not taking from the world more than was needed.
Zagor,because he looks like me
.
there was a post a week or two ago, and someone quoted a watchtower that encouraged avoiding telling people the truth, not by lying, but by diverting them to another subject.
can anyone remember which thread it was on please?
Simon, what is wrong with search engine?

Okay, I think you should be a bit more prudent in this case and lenient toward visitors. (Especially if they are only readers and not dogmatic preachers).
Finding the truth is a gradual process which for some takes quite a long time to sink in, especially if they believed all their lives that they were the only ones having the truth, and for them it gets rather strange to question” the truth” . The very fact that they are here is a good sign.
I can understand your frustration but you’ve gotta realize that these people have been stripped off their personalities, their personal conscience (which is for them something held in Brooklyn and not in their own heads) and their thinking abilities. So you are not dealing with regular Joe or Jane from the street who could see logic a mile away even before you've finished what you had to say. Most of those people are truly lost and are wondering where to next. It is not really easy to turn around and forget half of your life you know.
Few days ago I’ve heard an interesting story. A man and woman in their 60’s were getting divorced. So judge asked man (who didn’t want divorce) why it is so hard to let go off his wife. Man relied: “Judge if I had even a mere rock carrying in my pocket for the last 30 years I would be sorry to throw it finally down the pond, how do you expect me to simply turn away and say good bye to something even more precious? I can’t.”
With passage of time we people have tendency to get used to anything and find hard to get rid off it even if it is hurting us. How many wives stood by their abusive husbands for years at a time? So it is not surprising that when it comes to religion people find it difficult to accept they’re wrong after believed their whole lives they were right.
i am bi-racial and was wondering would you date or marry outside of your race?
how would you feel if your children dated or married outside of their race?.

Any Homo Sapiens would do, as long as SHE has great personality and some outside features I find apealing of course
the question was, "so if things are going to be returned to as they were in eden does that mean that we all are going to be naked again and that we won't need any clothing.".
it is very uncomfortable thought for many dubs.
it is not only to do with "immorality" as such (though many naturalists would vouch that it being naked has nothing to do with it anyway).

Yeah wouldn't be great if at least all ladies achieved perfection of Barbarella. It would certainly have a great civilising influence on us Cavemen. We could even evolve into something else, a better version of ourselves for sure.
Thanks for the suggestion LittleToe, it made me think

Thank you everyone for your relies. I've posed the same question my brother-in-law... He hesitated at first but then said "Well we probably will never return to that state since we already associate nakedness with lose of innocence" so i said "well that sounds a kind of a new world very much resembling to this old world" He didn't know what to say.
after growing up a jw all my life, i have no clue why people would want to be part of any religion.. i don't get the mormon stuff.
i don't understand the catholic faith.
i really don't understand the muslim beliefs and all their levels and the suicide bombers.
I don't know really. This may be only a very simplistic look at it but the way I see it is that as babies and children we need protection of our parents. Very thought that we are not alone and that there's mom or dad few steps away or phone call away is very reassuring.
As we grow older we start wondering if there's anything out there in a cold dark universe. Thought of being alone is very scary and depressing for many. We have a nostalgic subconscious feeling of needing a security and hence a need for a big daddy up in heavens.
Then again I might be completely wrong. Perhaps we do have something in our DNA that predisposes us to religion; after all there were very few societies ever that weren't religious in some sense.
