I have really long, in detail dreams and can often remember them when I wake up.. but you have made me think now!!! I take Efexor for depression. Also I don't sleep well, but I too have had to have a sleep study and seems I have Sleep apnoea (for which I am waiting treatment)... I snore something wicked!!! so this should help stop that! much to the relief of my other half!! But the most recent weird dream is as a result of learning that one of my sterilisation clips has come away and is floating round my body!! I dreamt I had a baby boy (this would be a shock as I am now 50!!) but he had this red moustache! to start with it was very neat, but then it got all straggly and I remember thinking if I shaved it I would have to keep shaving it and he would get stubbly and not look like a baby!! Think I woke up with the shock of it!!!

Do you ever have long epic dreams?
by Elsewhere ina few months ago my dr. put me on wellbutrin to help with angziety and depression.
she told me some side effects would be strange dreams and ensomnia.. well... here i am posting about strange dreams at 3:30 am .
what makes these new dreams really stand out is that they are very very long dreams that seem to last forever.

BLOOD --giving or taking
by m. kirov inso now that you've left the cult, have you ever given or taken blood?
have your opinions and/ or beliefs in this area changed?
much to my suprise, one of my very good freinds who is not out still feels the way he was trained to feel.

Ughhh black pudding - No way!! Not made up my mind about the blood issue though have carried a organ donor card for years (they can everything except my eyes!!! got a thing about that, don't ask why!).
Suppose I ought to decide really about blood, know mine is no good to anyone, recent test says I am not immune to Hepatis 2, so wouldn't want to give it away..
Thanks all, made me think!

3 Months Today
by PaulJ in3 months ago today my life changed indescribably for the better.
before i was always feeling guilty about leaving the witnesses and just counting the days until 'armageddon'.... trying not to think about being bird food and getting on with my life as best as i can.
sometimes i used to get nervous if there was a really bad thunderstorm.... i little voice in my head told me it could be the end.. but now im free, thanks to this site and the people on here.

Well I think you are all cute!! and reflect the 'love' that we should have found as JW's. I am still struggling to come to terms with all these revelations, but I am so happy that Paul has found contentment!!! Thanks to all of you that have helped him get there!!!!

Does JWD fill a VOID in your life?
by ballistic indoes jwd fill a void in your life or does the internet in general do so?.
or do you think life is made up of lots of little voids we fill with tv, internet and so on.. what would you be doing if it wasn't for tv or the internet?.
is the issue how much time you spend on one thing?
-
Tez
I used the internet to fill a void when I first left 'truf' and husband. I was looking for friends, 'real' friends! Only real one I found was my partner.. and without the internet I would never have found him, as we lived at different ends of the country! And at 50 I am happier now than I have ever been. That was two years ago, and once we got together wasn't bothered about the internet until now, yes the JWD does fill another void that I hadn't realised I had... listening to others relate their experiences and thoughts, all who have come from the same place I have been for so many years. There is a need to relate with others who really understand the 'mind' control, the guilt you are left with etc... and yes I suppose among these people I am still looking for real friends, and live in the hope that I will find them.

What REALLY is Hell?
by defd inis it truely a firey place of torment as some religions teach?
or is it just the grave, as another religion teaches?
-
Tez
Hell is the place my partner keeps telling me he is going to when he gets really p****d off with me trying to explain the beliefs I had as a JW, his imagination of it is much more exciting, he thinks, than my view of the new system!! Trouble is he doesn't think I'm gonna go there with him!!!

I think its great that some of you have met up. I know my son and I would like to meet up with anyone in UK, though probably difficult to arrange. I think thats one of the reasons we came on here, hoping to hear from folk we knew, or folk who knew folk we knew!!!! Actually it would be great to meet up with my son!! who lives down the other end of the country now! We haven't seen each other since coming onto this site.. he introduced me to it, and we long to have a good old natter about it. Seeing him in a few weeks time at his brothers wedding, so looking forward to that. This site has helped him so much, thanks to all of you!!!
