What does it mean? There is a virus that is contagious and deadly, but not going to be a pandemic.
Having just traveled to Pakistan and Turkey, and spent time in a handicapped transport with some old sick man from ??? I am concerned now about my husbands "cold".
I have gotten real food poisoning-the kind where you could actually die (or simply get a antibiotic and have the little bugs zapped if I had known that a doc could help!) and just the tummy ache (lasted two weeks and counting, but much better than days 1-7).
There are a lot of bugs everywhere. I am Muslim and I am not going to haj unless they make some dramatic changes. I did umrah and that was as brave and energetic as I am. I have a lot of friends who go and they all come back sick(young and old). I just got back from Pakistan and cannot believe the way people can still live in this century when others have all the modcons next door. I literally saw the nicest Pizza Hut (in the world?) in Hyderabad and people living in shacks with one wall (or none) and straw thatched roofs. No clean drinking water. Even Pakis get sick A LOT. The world is messed up. That's not even speculating.
I accept it is this way. I can't fix it all. I can't fix rogue cops in texas, corruption in Louisiana or the mob in sicily. I can just work with the people in front of me and try to help one person at a time. I will fail a lot and succeed at some things. Sometimes faith is the hardest thing, but sometimes it is also the only thing to help one bear this.
Sorry, rambling!
