In perspective, its only a tv show! And if I could afford Uli or Laura, I would patronize them. I don't have to support anything I don't like. Sigh, I gotta not let that stupid stuff get to me. I do think the girls got robbed! But my righteous indignation makes no difference to anyone. Never has, never will.

What is your town or area's claim to fame?
by free2beme inevery where you live, the local area has something about it that is either famous for something good or something bad.
as an example, you go to one town and it may have the historial site of a famous war battle.
you go to another an it might be the place something was invented, or the birthplace of someone famous.

We have the "Tacoma Aroma" and have the singular distinction of being probably the most prolific producer of serial killers/mass/spree murderers. Ted Bundy, Malvo/Muhammed, Green River, Joseph Duncan, WahMee massacre etc. I live in a town that is bordered by on high security(island) prison, a mental hospital (many criminally insane housed there), and two military bases (vast majority are good guys but the nuts have guns and know how to use them!).
We also make Almond Roca. Which is really good. And we can go to the outlet store and get it cheap. Thats all I got.

this way you'd feel like you have the freedom to surf the net but all the "bad" stuff would be blocked out.
they'd have total control over what the surfer sees.

They are shrinking fast enough already, if the had to DF everyone that went places they should not on the internet, the entire western world would soon be kicked out. . .of course then Brooklyn(the 3 guys left that ran the computer division) would then have effective ownership over hundreds of millions of dollars -probably billions of property that would then need to be sold. . .THEN we would find out who has a legal right to the property owned by the org. . .probably whoever can put up with that crap the longest.

I imagine the same reason there are different faces/noses/skin color/sexes/DNA. Variety and all that. The only difference is that some things are more out of sight than others(usually:) )

it starts about three years ago when a family moved to our area; a couple and their child.

My body gets me through the day, but I would like feet that worked properly, balance that worked properly, lungs that were not prone to infection/athsma/etc, a cervix that didn't need to be bypassed with surgery/huge scars to birth children. Hair that only had good days, maintenance free teeth(I even hate the 1-800 dentist commercials!)skin that didn't need to prove it stretched. . .eyes that didn't need correction, fingernails that didn't break. . .OTOH, it does get me where I need to go. . .so I hate to complain-many have things much worse than this woman in the states with decent health insurance and more human rights than most people dare to dream of! I would also like breasts that didn't need to prove the theory of gravity so readily, but that just seems kind of greedy. (Eyes on the back of my head would be good. My 6 year old still believes I have an extra sense, and soon he will figure out I am not godlike in my powers!)

Does anyone else remember the Embryo? Still freaks me out-it was a double feature with the Stepford wives and I saw it when I was 8 or 9. What were my parents thinking???(Yes, my mom was a JW!!)

This is good-Now Lupus is the devil you know. Since her Doc's were bright enough to diagnose her this quickly, hopefully they will treat her effectively. I know its hard, but its good to know what it is instead of fearing what it could be. She has now entered a new world. You will all be learing a lot and making adjustments. Its good to know there is so much love between you all-that will make all things easier to bear. . .Best wishes!

They could get all of the westernized internet using JWs to buy the cd/computer/internet service, but the nice JWs would probably pay the money and make sure to not use the stuff. How many things do we sign up form pay monthly for and don't use? Many of us have a few of those-from mag. subscriptions to extras in our utilities/services that we never use (HBO anyone??) They will gladly pay to support the org, then ignore it as they found out how limiting is is (even those w/o major double lives would be often frustrated by such a service) But I am sure the WT will come up with that one soon-its the next step as the internet is taking over, and books of information are increasingly becoming more obsolete(never totally, but reference and study info is all over the net now) Can't you see the WT folks handing out CDs with a brochure or something?? The magazines will soon be obsolete in the US, imo.

Poor Uli WAS cute and blond and had no adorable child, no survivor history. . .this guys breakdown was just a couple years ago. The wall fell 20 or more years ago. Miami is happy, Jeffery is kind of sad. I think Uli is already a success story and a triumph. She will be more so now I hope! I hope good things for Jeffery, he has overcome a lot-I just didn't like his clothes much!
