Your favorite Sunday breakfast
by Layla33 insince i am about to partake (*smile*) in my favorite sunday breakfast, i thought it would be fun for everyone to describe their favorite breakfast here.. sunday breakfast was always a big deal for my family and growing up, it was the one day and time that we actually sat together had breakfast and talked about our week and sat for a good hour or so just catching up with each other.. for over 20 years, this breakfast consisted of bacon, sausage (kielbasa or italian), biscuits, eggs (cheese or plain), and grits.
to this day, i still feel it's a special nice time.. do share, i thought it would be fun to see other people's traditions on sunday breakfast....

Accessibility to guns to blame for violence?
by 5thGeneration inwith all the talk about the increased violence in schools and among society, it still surprises me that the accessibility to guns argument often tends to trump the cultural argument.. maybe i'm out of touch but showing saw iii uncut on hbo at 10pm and releasing the most violent video games in history and the marketing of violent and perverse music, these are the things to me that desensitises young people first and then may trigger some hurt and unstable kids long before they go and buy a gun.. okay, ready to be blasted (pardon the pun)!.

Pie in the sky Oracle.
You cannot mandate behavior. Haven't you learned that in the 'Truth'?
Are people more or less educated these days? Then why is crime skyrocketing?
'Bible belt' States' crime is higher because of poverty (NO for example). It's a stretch to try to link violent crime with 'Christian-Democracy' or religion.

I always had so many friends and am the type that people always confided in so I usually by default rolled my eyes when appointments were made because I knew too much about the man.

WTBTS refuses to return 100,000 pound donation from DF man
by dozy inwatchtower society declines to return disputed 100,000 legacyby emilie filou, third sector, 13 february 2008 .
the charitable arm of the jehovah's witnesses should return a 100,000 legacy from a man it expelled for trying to convert call girls, one of the man's relatives has said.. martin davis said the watchtower society should return the money left to it by his cousin donald kennett so it could go to kennett's nephew, who is autistic.. accepting money from a member who had been expelled would damage the charity's reputation, said davis, of dulwich, south london.. kennett was befriended by a jehovah's witness in the 80s when recovering from a serious car crash and joined shortly afterwards, davis told third sector.
he was 'disfellowshipped' from his group in stockport in 2001 after members discovered that he was contacting call girls.. when kennett's mother died in 1994, she had left half her estate to him and half to his autistic nephew.

I don't see the controversy here.
Others have acknowledged that his being DF'd is a separate issue and I agree.
He died and his Last Will and Testament as a legal document was carried out.
Regardless of how distasteful it is, it was his wish at the time of his death.
Sorry!
