just got back from the doctor and he was alarmed at my liver function test.

he sent me for an ultrasound of my liver and i'm being tested for hep.. problem:.

my drinking way too much is because i have a hard time dealing with wanting to leave the 'truth' but can't.

Ironic that I have thought of that but have been scared that the elders will find out and pounce on me and possibly form a JC.

Who needs Armageddon? The Society will just kill us off right now!

Why those still in are always still questioned by those long gone!

i have a problem you may all be able explain to me.. why do so many posters argue posts made by people still active in the 'truth' who still know exactly what's happening right now?.

it makes no sense.. those of us that are still attending, some in high positions, are often times challenged as to our information.. i had a big fight a long while way back about the society banning watchtower symbols on khs (which they did).

i read the official wt letter but some posters jumped on me that it was not true.

They didn't say to remove the WT logo if it is already there.

They said that new KH can't have a Watchtower in its brickwork or whatever.

Why is this so difficult?

The situation is NOT a completely different matter.

He is, in effect, a complete 'stranger' to the local congo just like any householder.

THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF HIM!

There is no difference between a 'worldly' householder and a former JW of which the local cong has ZERO history.

That was just some crazy fluke that caused a knee jerk reaction from some bonehead elders.

As I said, pretty rare!

Normally, they wouldn't ever happen to see a copy of CoC in an inactive householder's home.

I think people on this board should start to show some respect to those still active as JWs that can pass along a lot of good info!

Sorry minimus,

Complete strangers with no publisher record card, no congregation file, no association with any congregation and not claiming to be an active JW will not be hunted down and disfellowshipped.

You sure speak in absolutes for someone who's obviously been away a long time.

There are some of us who are still in who know the scoop.

the "judicial loophole" thread gave me a thought- what would happen if someone faded a la moving far away but then later decided to start all over again and pretend to know nothing about jws and go through the motions of becoming a jw again?

would there be a record of your first baptism on file at hq?

if so, what if you deny that it's you, that someone else just has the same name?
