The bastards have marked me!
by Zico inso, i'd been invited to a jw 'friends' house this evening, but before i went, i went out with some work mates, something i've been doing a bit more of recently.
i told him i'd be home about 7.30 and for him to phone me after that time when he wants me to come round, so i get back about that time, popped onto jwd, whilst awaiting my phone call, got nothing, so i phoned him up a few minutes ago, and he told me that he'd discussed it with the others, and since i've been going out with worldly people so much, they want me to stop that association before they let me start associating with them again!
i'm really fucking angry here now!

NOT REALLY SURPRISED!
by Dansk inwell, it had to happen one day - only claire and i thought we'd be somewhat older and karl would have finished his university course.
karl telephoned earlier this week to let us know we're to become grandparents!
as karl is only 21 and has just started university i felt like reading the riot act - but what's the point!

Single parent, kindergarten woes. Help!
by daystar ini have a problem.. we just moved to plano, texas, where we know no one.
my son just started kindergarten.
now, plano isd is one of those school districts that gets a large amount of funding through high test scores and through high property values.

We used to get our kids PC programs called "Jump Start [the grade]" and they really enjoyed them.
Oh yeah! He has had those for some time now. I started him on Jump Start preschool before he was in preschool and he's been working with Jump Start Kindergaten for a while now.
I have no doubt about the quality of PISD. I just don't see how the teacher is recommending tutoring when he seems to me to be right along with the class based upon the work he's bring home. I suppose it can't hurt to get him ahead though. He's certainly bright enough.

What would have happened if you Didn't tell him what you were doing!?
Without my guidance and suggestion, there's no telling how he may have interpreted it, really. I wanted him to feel comfortable with it though. If I had drawn pentagrams rather than crosses, for example, if I had performed other parts of the ritual differently, I'm sure I could have evoked quite a different response from him.
