Good point. For the sake of accuracy though, there are a few translations that use loyalty or faithfulness.
loyalty (ERV,MSG)
faithfulness (HCSB,NET)
today's wt has the below scripture as it's theme.
friday of the rc has the same as it's theme.
the silver nwt is alone in using the word loyalty in this verse.
Good point. For the sake of accuracy though, there are a few translations that use loyalty or faithfulness.

the january 8, 2000 awake magazine published an article "the growing demand for bloodless medicine and surgery".
this article has been quoted extensively by jws as support for their "scientific" justification for refusing blood products.. a quote from that article that is familiar to most jws and exjws is this one:.
“all those dealing with blood and caring for surgical patients have to consider bloodless surgery.”—dr.

Religion is a scam made up by mostly ignorant disingenuous power seeking men.
This is how I feel. Moving to another religion is basically looking for a different set of men to be scammed by. Why would any one religious leader be chosen to impart truth over all the tens of thousands that claim to be God's mouthpiece?
not mansfield u k , but mansfield in u s a - it doesn't look much, does it?
in fact even the uber dubs on j w talk are not impressed (that must be a first!
this thread of theirs is publicly readable:.
today's text:.
saturday, april 2. the little one will become a thousand.—isa.
60:22.. perhaps we live in an area where there are few witnesses or where we do not see a lot of immediate results in our preaching work.
hi all.. so i got a txt today from a very proud mum claiming that, the jw cart produced 300 book and magazine placements.
mostly from foreign speakers.. the shard is the tallest building in the uk.
this is where the cart was placed.. not a bad day they had really.
In their heyday they distributed tens of millions of pieces of literature a year, and only had a couple of hundred thousand baptisms, half of which are probably children born into the religion. 300 magazines is unlikely to have any result.
I actually think that the carts will result in net negative growth. Few will join the religion from seeing a cart, but the JWs there become sitting ducks for people to approach them with well thought out information about the religion to make them think.
in his last couple of vlogs, john cedars is wearing a t-shirt saying shunned.
some people liked it and asked him if they could purchase one.. in his last vlog (#111) he is advertising it and mentioned the link www.apostee.com, based in the us.
comments attached to vlog # 110 mentioned the fact that this company will close in april and that the business will be continued by cedars itself, who has also a stock of anti-witness items.. besides that, he was not the owner of jwsurvey.org, but since january 16, 2016 he is.. it looks (as mentioned before by simon in an earlier thread), this guy is making a living from his activism, a paid career.. one should seriously question his true motives, demonstrated in his activism.
When a person devotes their time to a cause there is no reason they should not be paid for that time. Cedars spends as much time on his site as most people spend earning a living, so why should people expect it to be free?
Randy devoted his life to freeminds, and it was only through donations that he has been able to survive. Fortunately for him, Christian Church groups sponsored him, as exJWs show very little generosity in such regards.
by no means is this a heartwarming "experience" illustrating how an ex-jw skillfully "reached the heart" of a current jw, moving them to re-examine their belief system.
that won't be my take on my half hour visit with an elder's wife last sunday.
no one scored points here as is almost always the case in these interactions.. we live at the extreme southern tip of texas, on the u.s.-mexico border in a city of about 200,000. twenty years ago there were 20 spanish language congregations, 2 english.
Great post that I wish everyone could read and appreciate. After years of preaching, how many of us ever convinced anyone that their Christian beliefs are wrong, so why think that it is going to be likely that a conversation with a JW will have them agreeing that you are right and they should leave the organisation. It still comes as a surprise that she was so unaffected as to still press for you to come to the memorial after all that.
Still, this conversation may plant a seed that at some later point has an affect.
i don't think anyone's actually considered this, but a post in the extj.com forum made me think about the many changes (not just one) on the back cover of the awake!
magazine.
thanks to avoidjw.org for scanning all of the magazines in pdf format, since there is a lot lost with the wt library.. take a look at the following paragraphs in the awake´s back cover throughout the years:awake!
There is this one too from 1995 immediately preceding the change. The only difference from the one before is the word "important" instead of "importantly". I wonder how many committees were required to make that change.
so an old friend of mine from the congregation hit me up today.
the story goes like this when we were jw's:.
- this guy used to be madly in love with me but i didn't see him as anything more than a friend.
Nice response. Much better than what I was going to recommend, which was:
"Don't tell me you still believe in that bullshit. I'll be here for support if you ever wake up."
