Sorry to hear about all that. Is there any way you can go on sick leave or disability while you are being treated? Even stress leave maybe?
Hurray for Jake coming to your rescue! I was at a flea market this morning but thankfully missed all the rednecks. :P
You can get thru this. It sounds like Jake is supportive? And there a re a few posters on here that are going thru Chemo/cancer maybe it would help to have a chat with them?
Take care of yourself.

Good News - it is basal cell cancer....
by AK - Jeff into those who have followed my previous thread - here is the latest update [and hopefully the end of the story].
though this sounds bad enough - no one wants to have cancer of any sort - this is both the most prevalent and the most treatable of all skin cancer.
it is tied directly to uv exposure.. the good news is that basal cell is treated with simple proceedures of removal of the affected tissue in most cases [including mine.

You Canadians are all right!
by mjarka911 inwell, i just got back back from my first visit to toronto and i must say, all the canadians i met were attractive, friendly articulate inviduals.
as for the sights: i had a great time visiting the hockey hall of fame, cn tower, casa loma, kensington market, cafe diplamattico, the harborfront and that beautiful bar at the top of the park hyatt with the beautiful view of the night skyline.
you ontarians know how to do it up right!

Toronto is nice but you have to drive across the country to really appreciate it's beauty.
I driven from Nova Scotia to Ontario numerous times and it's a gorgous drive.
I've also driven from British Columbia to Ontario. Once you get thru the mountains and hit the prairies the expanse is breathtaking.
I love the small, rural costal communties the most. The smell of the salt in the air and the beauty of the fishing boats tied up at the wharfes......

Do you rather an automatic or manual transmission?
by JH in.
my first cars were all "manual" and they were small cars, cheap on gas.. then later on in life, i spoiled myself and bought automatic cars.. last week, i tried a manual yaris, and wasn't that comfortable with the manual transmission.
maybe it's the fact that i didn't drive a manual car in 6 years.. just wondering if anyone here after driving automatic transmission cars since many years, if you would come back to manual..

I've got an automatic now and I hate it! I love my stick shift and want it back. :(
