Did You Usually Feel Guilty While A JW?

my 79 year old mom that has every ailment known to man was going to the bookstudy this afternoon because she felt "guilty" for not going the last couple of meetings due to illness.

i told her it was 95 degrees outside and asked her not to go since she has difficulty breathing.

she decided to do it anyway.

I felt guilty for not believing what I was told. As well as guilt over knowing that my family would be crushed when I left it.

so i was curious, besides leaving the organ, what other life altering decisions have you made that have greatly improved your life, that you wouldn't have made were you still under the "sheep" mentality?.

for me, divorcing my ex, taking a chance to get involved with anyone again, and working at fulfilling my lifelong goal of running my own business (non cleaning or menial labor related).

my self worth and confidence has absolutely increased for acting on these decisions..

Leaving my ex-husband is waaaaaaaayyyy up there. Followed closely with getting an education so that I can have a career and not just a job.

Learning to think for myself is pretty awesome as well.

It looks nice in the Indigo ink and the black sand pearl. My man's parents have that car in the taupe color. It's a great car, but in taupe it becomes a "grampy-mobile"

As a general rule all our 'new cars' have a rust glaze.

If I had a choice I'd go with black and chrome.

Hi! I'm not from Michigan sorry. There are a few posters here from there if I remember correctly. To find your old post (which had a few replies) when you sign in click on your name. It will bring up your profile and a list of topics that you've started as well as posts that you have made to others topics. Click on your topics to get that list and then choose from there. You can also private message posters bt clicking on their profile and choosing that option.

Does anyones girlfriend/boyfriend get jealous or mad for being on here alot

mine always thinks i'm going to hook back up with a witness ex girlfriend or i guess dump her for god.

ive not been here long but shes not to happy with it.

shes not religious in anyway she just dont like me talking to people i guess.

Mine was a little put off at first but seems to be okay with it now. I think he was mainly concerned that the topics would make me angry or sad, but he understands that I need people to chat with that have the same background as me. He also met a few of the posters in person with me and that helped as they were very nice and down to earth. I do sign off as soon as he gets home so we can chat about our days and have some couple time together.
