The supposed reason for Jehovah's seeking to put Moses/his son/ (somebody?/anybody?) to death was because of Moses' failure to keep the Abrahamic Covenant of circumcision. It meant that the child was not properly dedicated to Jehovah, so somebody had to die (or get the end of their penis whacked off with a flint) to set things straight.

Do you see the average Jehovahs Witness as a victim...?

i think most of us appreciate the difference between the tyrannical watchtower society and the average sheep like followers who make up the congregations.

we have been jehovahs witnesses so we know how brainwashed they are.

i am interested in knowing how you feel towards jehovahs witnesses individually and whether you hold them accountable.

The average JW is only causing me pain ( which happens rarely this days ) because somebody higher up is inforcing it.

I can't blame them for this. They are trapped, whether they recognize it or not, just like I was.

As far as labeling them a victim? No, I don't think they all are. Some may feel victimized by certain doctrines and fellow members. Others excell in it and become the victors.

My Dad Isn't There Anymore

it really struck me last night that my dad is pretty much gone.

he has advanced alzheimers, and is slowly dying of kidney failure from 40 years of diabetes.

the family stepped in and said no to dialysis, because it would be 5 hours per day 3 days per week - minimum, for limited return on quality of life.

What an emotionally draining time for you. Even if your Dad doesn't always recognize you, I believe he will be able to sense your emotions. If you have things you want to share with him I would encourage you to do so. It will help you as well.

we're awaiting the arrival of kwintestal and heart2heart as they make their long trek back home.

they'll be having dinner with us tonight.. in a couple of hours' time... and i know their computer access has been almost non-existant over the last several days.... so how about sending them a virtual hug and a big hello, which i will print out for them before they set out on their journey again!.

i can't believe i am that old, and i don't feel it at all.

i feel like i am 40..............but wish i looked 40!

hahahhaha.. we are going to las vegas on monday, for my birthday, (our eldest son and his wife are coming too), so hoping i can forget how old i'm getting.
