Sorry, need to moan and belly ache
by Elsewhere ini normally try not to moan and belly ache here, but today i'm really down.
the other day i was kidding and joking about being "socially-challenged", it can be fun to do this... but sometimes it catches up to me.
i spend the vast majority of my evenings and weekends alone... movies, restaurants, community events, parties, you name it.

I was going to email you but I don't have your contact info (is your site down again?)
You've basically just described my social life (or lack thereof). Social situations are extremely painful for me. I will agonize for days over what to wear because I don't want to stand out but yet don't want to be underdressed. Once I do get there (late~ to cut down on the amount of awkward conversation I will be forced to have) I will only talk to people that I have known for years, even then if there is someone in the group that I don't know I am mute and just observe what is going on. If alcohol is present it's generally a given that I will drink to much in an effort to make myself feel better about being there. I could go for days without talking to anybody. My "friends" (who I do not keep in touch with enough) are gregarious and outgoing people that reached out to me in an effort to become friendly.
I don't really have any advice for you because I'm the same way but the others seemed to know what they were talking about.
hugs & kisses, wish I could help more (((((Else))))

I tackled that beast!! Beat it to a bloody pulp...
by Sparkplug ini will next month be the proud owner of a bachelors degree!
so now the question is, do i stay in for a masters or start paying back the loan.
i really hate to think a main reason for higher education was to avoid a monthly payment.

Yay Girl!!!
I'm so proud I could burst! Education is addicting isn't it? The more I learn the more I want to learn.
<<I strongly urge all of you to go after what you want. Go after it hard. Because in my head the only difference between people that have and people that have not. Is one got out of bed and went to the gitt'ing store and got it!>>
I very strongly agree with you. Don't bitch about your life unless you are willing to do something about it.
Did I catch possible free education for you? Would your kids get a discount on tuition as well? Sounds like something to reall consider.

OUCH! My knees are good ;-) but this is what I would want to know
Questions to ask; What should you be doing/not doing to prepare for surgery? (Exercise, diet etc)
Should you be strengthening your good knee to prepare it for the extra work it will be doing as you heal?
Average recovery time? Most common side effects of surgery?
How many of these surgies has he preformed? Good success?
What activity level should you have post surgery?
When should you start remedial excercise? Physiotherapist or personal trainer?
What supplies should you have ready at home post-op? (bandages, crutches, medications etc)
Will you need someone to look after you for few days/ or do they think you will be fine on your own?
How long to they predict you will be off work?
If I think of more I'll post them! Hope these help.

I'm sinking into depression and I can't seem to shake it
by Nellie inyesterday was my birthday - sunday is father's day.
we went out to dinner (my first celebration in over 30 years), my husband gave me a beautiful gift, my kids were great, my sister (who's baptized, but on shaky ground herself) sent me flowers and joined us .
i'm filled with sadness for all the missed years .

Good news! Glad you're feeling better. I'm not a cryer but every so often there's nothing like a good cry fest in the bath to let it all go.

Started developing with Visual Studio 2005 and Team Foundation Server
by Elsewhere inlast friday i upgraded my development environment at work to vs2005 with tfs... i've got to say: wow!
with tfs source control integrated into vs2005 we can now develop our asp.net web applications on our local boxes.
combine that with the new debug features and i have to say i *almost* enjoy getting errors while testing!
