Just curious...."service, and gas money"

locally on occasion it was the common practice when "in service" to leave gas money for the driver.

i know that the individuals if savvy can get a tax credit for mileage for service (and i was once told mileage to and from public talks could also be included).

what i am curious about is do people still give the driver money for thier trouble?

What I am curious about is do people still give the driver money for thier trouble? Especially those who are chronically unable to drive themselves. In the territory I used to be in it was not uncommon to drive 100-300 miles if out all day, make that 3-4 times a week and look at that gas bill, not to mention wear and tear on perfectly good vehicles.

Or are witnesses too inconsiderate to do that anymore?

i thought it might be mildly amusing considering the lack of emphasis that any of these things are wrong according to the majority of the population.

Scarily he has been one for a few years, like even before I was reinstated.

The bad part is who knows how often everyone in the family, with the exception of mom has been under reproof at one time or another. Whoooo bad witness family.

And they wonder how come we stray.

Things my kitten needs to know

1. no matter how much you search my neck, you are not going to find a cat nipple.

knock it off.. 2. the recepticles with dirt and plants in them are, well, plants.

the recepticles with clay (which resembles dirt) are litter boxes.

I have a dog and a kitten. So now instead of one set of eyes begging as I go to prepare food I have two. And the kitten runs circles around the dog while he's eating. Oh may I add that if my hand is away from my body it does not mean it has morphed into something to stalk.

And divebombing on me while sleeping earns one kitten a night in the bathroom.

Of course they are trivial that's the whole fun of it all.

But listing some of them is funny because its so much like little kids bickering, seriously the fact that some people need that extensive of control in thier lives to decide to do or not do something is scary.

This coming from the daughter of an active elder.

I was trying to limit the number of offenses I committed. Speaking of confessions though, ironic isn't it how judicial meetings can be used as typical catholic confession truly.

how did you feel?

what was your situaltion with the jw's?.

personally i had left by daing myself 2 and a half years ago.

I was recommended to it by Joannadandy, though the first time I read it I wasn't sure what to think.

Finally after lurking around it for a time and laughing so hard often I had tears in my eyes on the jokes made about it I joined and started to post yesterday.

For a good portion of my life I pretended to be a good witness because my family was in it, and I didn't want to lose that. Even before that, I had doubts though just never said anything about it. At 11, when baptized I guess I really knew what I wanted from my life. Since my disfellowshiping and reinstatement I've been kind of a rogue witness if there is such a thing. I don't buy the bs, but knew all the pain at having all my support almost taken for living as most people do.

I know continued access to here will help me as I make my last break from it. It continues to amaze me how blindly people do follow it. I was raised with nothing else, but for any organization to force a choice between it and family, that's not natural.

Glad I finally decided to post.

LOL@Joannadandy, yes you were there. Maybe for fond memories I should put a welcome mat below one of the windows at my place.

Ohhhhh I know it's going over 10, but since I'm already going to witness hell.
