I'm with Evil and KLS I normally don't sleep more than 3 or 4 anymore, oddly though it went away completely when my boy was out here with me. When on the phone he tells me to sleep well. I laugh, he knows I'm an insomniac.

I have a feeling I must know them because my blog isn't real "high readership" if ya get my drift. It's just a place for me to spout off and all my friends to point and laugh at me doing so.
LOL I wonder who it is too, unless your rents recruited someone to encourage you incognito as I was sposed to do for someone and they are doing research. Which blog is it?

The DC I went to in Rochester had max of about 4800 for three days, of that 18 were baptized. At that location I believe they do 5 or 6 conventions though its a combination of people from Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Low point attendence wise was 4300.Hope that helps.

question about deja vu & precognition???
by manicmama ini have a question to anyone out there that are practicing wicca and/or are interested paganism.
a little background on me....as a little jw i never bought into the religion, however i had no choice on the subject as most of you can identify with.
when i was young, probably till the time i was around 14-15 i would have extreme deja vu.

Sirona had a lot of very good and valid points.
Personally I don't classify myself as anything specific though I have natural wiccan tendencies.
As for reasons for it coming back in full and stronger force now, I have found myself in a similar situation. Though with me its more pre cog events vs deja vu. I have always had experiences growing up that a good jw shouldn't have unless it was the demons. (What a joke). With myself this is what I have found.
For a time instances decreased with me as well, I attribute it to being at a point in my life where I was trying to block out those things in my life and mind, and honestly I was going through and dealing with enough things that I doubt I would have been able to handle seeing or having those things happen to me, so I switched it "off" in my sub. As I began to draw away from the Jws again I was allowing my mind to open up again and began to recall several instances and had several more occur around me. I don't claim to understand it all. But truly I believe with you it could be something similar.
PS As for your daughter, often these things do run in families it just relies on finding those in the family who are willing to talk about it. I have an aunt who has been a huge help to me in my quest, which I continue.

ROFL...actually the woman I stayed with for this last DC didn't leave a tip at all and seriously never seen a messier or more taken over hotel room in my life.

Late last week I got a chance to give a good "anti-witness". There is a co-worker of mine who was raised around the org but never became one. She recently has studied off and on.
She knows a little about my situation, ie divorce finalized in the beginning of the year, actual process started last june. Ex hubby cheating etc etc. And that I am presently involved with an incredible man who is from Britain but will be moving here for me (yes we have met in person, he spent a month with me, and we have been an item since last November). Anyhow she knows I'm planning on leaving the organization though not all the reasons and knows that I am partially waiting for his return to make sure I have the support I need. She though is absolutely mystified by the shunning process. I was DF'd before but returned mainly for family support because I got none from my ex husband.
Anyhow what she said about the "known" witnesses that work here made me laugh. She said of all the employees she has found that the ones that are witnesses for the most part seem to be the rudest, and most stuck up individuals here. Even to the degree of not acknowledging her unless she talks to them first. We talked about this for maybe an hour or so while working, and I informed her that this is far more common than witnesses like to let on. The double standard is very evident.
So I was wondering how many people have had similar experiences, that for the simple reason of the "non witness" no association thing that that annoys people into not wanting to find out about witness beliefs, I'm sure its very common.
How "loving".

Are JWs really persecuted?
by gringojj ini find it interesting that the wts has this persecution complex.
apostates all out to get them and stuff.
i must say that although a search on the web will bring you lots of great anti-jw stuff(thier own fault because they only have 1 official website) the number of people actually trash talking is quite small and its mostly ex-jws and some still in the org.

In reality I think the majority of the world could care less about the wts.
Too true, I have a small handful of friends who are ex jws that I knew in my days of being a "good" jw. But non of my other friends even treat it as an issue. Honestly the extent of discussing it is more for therapy and being able to bond with others who have lived through it as well, but definitely not the persecution claimed.
