i must say, i never thought that i would see the day when i would find a site about disillusioned (mostly) jehovah's witnesses, but low and behold...one truly exists.
first let me start off by saying thank you to the creators of this site, and i'll have you know that i've been lurking for several days now and i am just finding the time to finally log on.
i've been a member of the borg for over 20 years now, been baptised for about 14 of those years and now i find myself in the most unusual of places.
and one thing that I have come to realize is that whether or not this is the true religion, I feel that it is populated by some of the most loveless, judgemental, and hypocritical people I've ever been around

i have never posted my story on jwd and it was only recently that it occured to me that i should really make more of an effort to; here is the first part....sorry if its longwinded.... .
i was brought up in the borg from the age of 18 months old and as you can understand i have known little else.
previous to being in the truth my mother was an unwanted child and beaten by her mother, sure enough she fell into an abusive relationship with my father which left her with minus zero confidence and on the verge of a nervous breakdown; apparently my mum was considering throwing us both off a railway bridge she was that depressed and to her there was no point in living.
I don't know what to say...........................I would give you a hug if I could!!

some use their real names, and others pick a moniker that is their nickname or perhaps a few words from a song they like.. why did you pick your name?.

i'm at my wit's end right about now.. my 24 year old brother is staying in my home as a roommate.
when i bought the house 5 years ago everything was fine; he helped with the housework, cut the grass, and was fair with the amount of 'house food' he'd consume.. time changes everything.
he now does nothing inside the house: no dishes, no vacuuming, no dusting, no anything.
I would simply say you pay your rent and do you share of the wouk or OUT you go.......and I wouldn't feel one bit guilty about it. Your brother sounds like he is taking advantage of you.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hate people like that!! Anyway I hope it works out for you.

misanthropic...... Yes I always tried to take out territories that had a store or someplace that we could use the bathroom. And I always took out country because it wasted more time haha!! But that's the truth!!

One of the funniest times was when our car group was working in the country and we need to go to another sisters house for the bathroom.......Well the sister lived in a trailor with the kitchen window being in the front and she was there doing the dishes....well one of the sisters thought she would scare her by jumping up at the window at her..so she creep up to the window and when she jumped the earth gave way ( there was a small sink hole) and she feel in past her knee's .................Well we laughed so hard we nearly wet ourselves..............We said that she nearly went to hell that day!!!!!!!
Even as i am writing this I am LMAO.. Ohhhhhhhhh maybe you had to be there!!

i stopped going to meetings over a year ago and am working stuff out in my mind.
Well I was baptized twice.Once as a baby into RC and then as an adult into JW. I disassociated myself from both. So I don't know!!!
