  Still on the fence!

  hey everyone i know its been a while since i posted but today i felt the need.just wanted to update you all on my position which is still brainwashed!i just dont know what to do i gain my strength to conquer this disease,(thats what i call being born in the org) from others like freedom lover who have come out of this religon free and clear i know its not easy but i know it can be done.i dont know why i just cant get over it and move on already,but theres thats piece of me that says,but what if?then im back, screwed and tatooed with jdub on my forehead,thinking that jehovah is upset and dissapointed with me and satan has me in his grasp.im stil sooo confused even with all the evidence pointing to they are full of crap!what if they arent?i just want to know the truth even if i dont choose to follow it,i want to know if jehovah is watching me torment myself every day,going back and forth and i cant take it anymore.then i think what if there is no jehovah?who the hell am i praying to with my daughter at night?

  (the air mabe)you see my daughter still believes even though she is ready to celebrate halloween this year and yes we bought her a costume,cinderella!my mother comes and takes her every now and then only if i promise to go to some meetings and i did last weekend i attended the sunday meeting for once in a about 6 months!felt strange to be there but once again going to a different cong i got love bombed.btw i feel guilty and scared about having anything to do with halloween this year.yup still dealing with the guilt,fear,agony,of knowing and believing in the dubs,for so long now trying desperately to get out without feeling the way i do.i just dont know what to do anymore and its a shame because the dubs have sucked the life out of me(guess i didnt check my doubts soon enough).if i dont get off the fence soon im going to go nuts.i like believeing that satan doesnt even exist and that there is no heavenly org.gives me peace of mind that i can just live my life,if theres a god,fine,is it jehovah?thats where the conflict arises and i cant just go on with my life thinking jehovah has lost me to the other side!

  !im not a lost cause yet guys.i need new light!

  i believe that most jws are deep down inside angry over the fact that they went along with the status quo and the majority just to be accepted.

  some witnesses would like to have a tattoo, a mustache, a shaved head, a beard, a new red sportscar, etc.

  but they don't because they would be viewed as "immature".

  Good Thread, No college, until I hit 40 something - than realized how useful this could of been years earlier. Missed out on some good times with those bad wordly kids, turned out many of them raised nice families and still married to their first wives ( this surprised me, made me realize that others keep their marraiges together). OC

  I can't stand that 'hooray another earthquake' thing

  i think that motherdarling actually likes to hear about earthquakes, especially the ones that cause a lot of death.

  i don't know why she's so excited about terrorist bombings and hurricanes though, they're not mentioned in matthew except for the faint out of fear thing.

  i saw a website once with exact stats on eathquakes in the last few centuries and was delighted to learn that they only seem to have increased because of the increased population in areas where they occur and the more sophisticated technology detecting small shudders and movement in seabeds etc.

  Clearly, Matthew and his editors didn't understand that earthquakes are a by-product of the mechanism which recycles carbon removed from the atmosphere by aquatic organisms, and locks it away in the crust. A lack of earthquakes would mean that the plates had stopped moving, indicating that the core was cooling off. This would lead to collapse of the magnetic field and loss of the magnetosphere, and perhaps the eventual loss of the atmosphere itself. So, in the context of keeping the planet habitable, earthquakes are a sign that Earth is still a living, and livable, planet. Very interesting, Did not know this! OC

  Watchtower deception about JW divorce rates.

  there was a statement in a 1997 awake that i see people quoting on the internet that is trying to imply 4.9% of jws are divorced compared to half of worldly people.

  i have found some statistics that prove that this is quite a deception.

  awake 1997 september 8 p.11 a people taught to love.

  i was reading onacruise's story about the anticipation of 1975 and it really clicked this time.

  it clicked before, but not like this.. how many of you have had friends or relatives urge you to buy a stock or some other investment because "it is gonna go sky high!"?

  how many of you believe that being a jw requires total emotional attachment to the wts?

  Plum, Sounds more like somekind of dementia, this can go on the 10 years or more. My mother had it for at least 3 or 4 years before I was able to come to her help. It is gradual and more than likely you will have to wait for a time that gives you the opportunity to step in and take control of the situation. Personally, I think it has less to do with her professing to be annointed than something like dementia which by the way could also be Alzheimer decease. When someone has this condition, it exagerates and amplifies their personality traites. They become almost cartoon in nature, they loose inhibition, saying and doing things that they would normally have not done. They also accuse people of stealing, and doing bad things to them. By the way, if your mother has any money in an account, be watchful, because she is now very vulnerable for someone to steal from her. OC

  How many mistresses can a JW elder have?

  since finding out more about the wtbts over the last year, it has come as no surprise to me anymore that the deceptive actions of the mother (wtbts) are seen in some of her children.

  the need for double thinking, self deluding beliefs and sneaky, twisted belief and thought patterns that i have noticed over the years in so many jws suddenly makes sense and is no longer scandalising or suprising.. so when i was told of the behaviour of a 'fine, upstanding, pillar of the community, brother' i simply shrugged.

  however, the results of his behaviour are not something to simply shrug your shoulders over.. it turned out for the last thirty years of his being married he has conducted affairs with another two 'sisters' in the congregation.

  Out of the situation I related to you, a woman killed herself because ultimately she was disfellowshiped and lost EVERYONE. What organization can do that to you? Even the prison system allows contact, communication, letters, visits etc....but NOT Jehovah's organization! Makes you wonder! Great point...don't forget that this is done out of love (sarcasm)

  being that we for the most part agree that jehovah does not really appoint elders and ms, can we also conclude that jehovah does not have a hand in annointing the fds.

  if this is true what would be the character flaw of these men especially the new ones who are only in their early fifties?

  Old soul, Yes you are right, I should of referenced it as GB. My question is, what character flaw do these type of people have in common. If they were in deed picked by the hand of God you would figure that they would still be imperfect but with different character flaws. Being that they are not really picked but basically, self annointed themselves, than, to me, this means they all must have one kind of character flaw that is found in all them. OC
