  this is the official line that was given.

  i did not hear this myself from a speaker but got it second hand, and those who are faithful believe it.. so far 350 have been asked to leave, one couple with as much as 30 years full time service with most of it at bethel.. oc

  Cog, What I heard was that it had to do with sending experienced people to the field to bolster up the congregations. Also, many are relying on the generosity of the friends to help them find cheap housing and the like. To me it all sounds dishonest and a bunch of nonsense, but those who still believe everything the GB says is from Jehovah, they can't even imagine that these guys would say anything but the honest to goodness truth. I think the discovery of some things that I knew not to be the exact truth made me start questioning many other things that were said. I would hope this latest action will wake up some of the most faithful, but, I won't hold my breath. OC

  a shameless spinoff of the tattoo thread i admit, but i didn't want to hijack it.

  what piercings were "allowed" and not allowed in your area, what have you got, when did you get it, and what do you think of piercings now that you are no longer a jw?.

  where i lived the rule was no piercings at all for men with no exceptions.

  regardless of how you feel about jehovah's organization--the true religion, one thing for sure, you will not escape the almighty jehovah's judgement right along with satan the devil and his destructive organization.

  how will you save yourself and those who follow you...?

  it's ashame that your energies could not be put to a more positive use.

  Which organization are you referring to? How do you know which one you belong to? What man told you what to believe? Did you hear it from God himself or are you one of the FDS who just knows?

  Were Most Of The Elders Dumb--- That You Knew???

  i'd say out of 10 elders, the average "sharp" ones are 2 or 3.

  What I do have to question is - these men see more than the average JW, know what goes on behind the scenes etc. Why can't they see the inconsistencies in the JW teachings? Especially the brothers conducting the WT studies where most of the "new light" comes out.

  Some do see the inconsistencies, there are plenty of Ex JW elders on this site and others.

  Everybody comes to things in there own time.

  I think elders are just a cross section of the populace. Some bright, some average and some stupid.

  I did not know that they had been professing for so long.

  Interesting, these fellows would have been in their early thirties when that feeling of being annointed came over them. Makes you wonder what goes through their minds so that they think they are so different then everyone else. If it were a true annointing, than I guess you just say it was God that did it, if you discount this, than, that means there is something going on in their minds that doesn't go on with most of us.

  The March 15th. Watchtower on page 26 announces the latest additons to the GB. Mr. Geoffrey W. Jackson and Anthony Morris 3rd..

  I understood from other posts that they were not of the annointed until that fateful day that they were invited to of the GB or perhaps just before that.

  Does anyone have addtional information on this subject. To me seems a bit scandolous. In other words anyone who becomes a member of the GB automatically has that feeling of being of the annointed.

  All homes are required to carry insurance so it results in a very profitable enterprise for home office. Then there are Kingdom Halls, they too carry insurance that pays for the damage that is rebuilt with volunteer labor and often donated materials. So when a KH is destroyed who profits? Home office again.

  To the best of my knowledge the Society self-insures. This is a very common practice amoung large and wealthy corporations. That is not to say that they don't have some of there assets protected by paid insurance with outside companies. But, you are quite correct about the fact that everything gets done with volunteer work, so the actual burden to the Society is not the same as it would be for anyone else.
