  this made me sick when i read it!

  it's from the awake july 8/05, the second response.. "my husband and i have tried to have children since shortly after our wedding.

  now, years later, we are faced with the issues described in this series.

  I would like to sleep but somehow my baby just knows when I hit deep sleep and SCREAMS....and i wake up ....either that or i wake up on my own thinking I hear him crying but when i check he is fast asleep.

  Movies to make a JW THINK

  i've heard various suggestions of movies to show a dub.. those of us with a spouse / family in the borg might find it pretty useful to rent such movies as just another way of chipping away at the indoctrination, or drawing attention to the wts control tactics.. one movie i saw which was somewhat helpful was one called "equilibrium", which was suggested on this board a while back.

  its about a society that has acheived peace and order by requiring everyone to repress their emotions through sedatory drugs.

  the good thing about this one was when it showed how everyone was so indoctrinated to follow the directives of the organization in charge, with every person keeping an eye on everyone else.

  CRUEL toward children!!!!

  my 6 year old daughter was best friends with another 6 year old witness girl and they go to the same school.. since our disassociation it has been difficult for them to see each other.to get around this, we have recently used my mother (who is not/never been a witness), to take the two girls out to play together.

  however, two witness mothers at the school noticed that this was happening and proceeded to harrass and have a go at the other witness mother for letting her daughter associate with the 6 year old daughter of parents who have left jehovah.there has been no trips out together for the two girls since.. this to me is so cruel!

  after all, there was never any contact with us.

  it is so sad that our children are treated this way....It must be hard for her.....Have you tried meeting up with some play groups so that she can have other friends to play with........I know this doesn't fix the fact that she can't play with someone who is already her friend but it might help a little.

  i'm new to this forum and hope to get some advice from the experts.

  my exwife is a fully jw dedicated do it all convert had decided to put our 9 y.o.

  daughter to home school.

  I was homeschooled and so was my brother....my brother graduated from homeschool but I begged to go back my freshman year....i had to beg for 2 years until my parents let me go back my junior year........i was so out of place so nieve(sorry can't spell). Homeschool actually set me back since they count credits different then public schools. I had to take junior and sophmore english and science and gym, since in homeschool there is no gym. I had to learn how to function in the real world......It was hard for me. My brother on the other hand, stayed in the truth and got married and is still in the same place..married to a witness sitting on the fence so to speak. I ended up takeing my GED otherwise i would have to attend school an extra year to catch up. Its deffiantlly not for everyone, but if your daughter is a people person then please don't take away her social life. my parents thought this would be a good way to protect me from worldly interests. I may have recieved a good education but I didn't grow up learning how to function around regular people....just JW's....... i hope things work out......but if she does go on homeschool try to make an agreement with your ex that is your daughter wishes to go back then she should be allowed. If you have any other questions for me feel free to e-mail me.........by the way I started homeschool when i got to 6th grade.

  My husband and i take turns being right if i'm wrong i just say "today is your day to be right" or visa versa. If I really screw up, I have learned to take a deep breath and apologize......although its taken me a long time to get there..... I screwed up recently and was mis-informed about my close friend we ended up not speaking to each other for a while until finally we figured out what had happened.......I had to spologize repeatedly, since I had been in the wrong...we were able to make up

  here's one: a jw cannot lie ' liars are subject to the "second death".

  but if you "lie" for the interests of the organization, suddenly it's not a "lie" after all!

  because the opposers are not "entitled" to know.

  An End To Shunning

  well, in my case anyway.

  for those of you that may recall my posts about my family and that after i left the wts, how i wrote long (and painful) letters to my nonjw children among others.

  i had tried to explain why i had shunned them and how very sorry i was, and for all the mistakes i had made throughout their childhoods as a jw mother.

  Thank you soooo much for sharing, I used to be sooo close with my mom and brother and they shun me now that i have left and it hurts so much to not be able to change it but I do have a wonderful husband and children that help lift my spirits when I get down. I do hope one day they will come around.
