i have a "singing kingdom songs" cd.

it's a cd recorded at bethel of a few select jws singing some of the more popular kms .

by the way, it always bothered me that most of the songs are sung by men.

You could use it for a coaster for you drinks or coffee. I use the ones from aol and other companies that sometimes come in the mail...

..and then sought to justify your leaving the organisation/religion by researching websites like this (to salve your conscience, justify continuing in your pleasurable but unscriptural lifestyle), or did you sincerely leave purely because you discovered certain false teachings, scandals, etc, while still living a moral, christian lifestyle?

be honest now, i mean really honest.

(this is not meant to offend anyone but viewed like a survey).

i left the org because they made a concious decision to join the very disgusting thing I had been taught to stay away from. I was and still am a very moral person or at least try to live my life in a way that would please God and His Son Jesus Christ. After I left I found out about the the other things the org had been involved with and I realized why there was no real love left. Jehovah had left the building!

it's not forever, i just need some time away.

this is by no means a plea for attention.. this board has made me realize i am not alone, with my feelings and thoughts of the org.

however, i need to get my life in order around here - i need to spend time with my husband and children and start finally living for them(and me).

I finally am home

i had a relapse from the meds in my treatment and got quite ill and spent a couple of days in the hospital i seem to be doing ok now and missed a dinner date with one of you in little elm.

The Dud's Came Calling Today!

hubbie, myself and our son were outside building our garage when i heard a car pulling in, although i am the only lucky one that saw them .

anywho as soon as they saw us they hightailed it away...now there was only always 4-5 people i went out with (arwen being one of them...hi arwen.

btw....this same person (the pioneer with her husband) met my son and his girlfriend about a month ago at the farmers market so my son said hi because he has been working at the same place with the husband for the last year....and she comes back and says...'i don't know you'... then turns and walks away.....wtf...what an idiot/retarded/stupid thing to say!.

You must have been shocked!! What love she showed for you...her dear friend... I wonder who else was in the car with her? There was no need for her to be miserable to your son either. It is one thing to just turn your head away but to say something mean was uncalled for. Just be glad we are free, Legolas!!

Yes, it was bad. It destroyed my life and the lives of two of my children to a certain extent. The man made rules that MUST be followed devastes peoples' lives and the guilt put upon us were so merciless. I kept saying,"Where is the love" and they would say.. Wait on Jehovah.....I saw so many lives ruined and so many people hurt and still hurting. It was ALL THAT BAD!

Taking a trip with my JW friend......Suggestions????

my friend has been a jw study for 9 yrs., not baptized yet.

but believes it all, as far as i know.

we rarely get to spend any one-on-one time, but we are going on an over-night trip this weekend.

Have a great time on your trip. I would suggest you tell her that you heard about this UN/WBTS fiasco and although you don't believe it maybe she could find out about it from her study conductor. Tell her someone sent you an email with the UN website letter on it and it looks so real that you are really wondering. This little seed might help her to find out the truth about the religion she is embracing. This is what did it for me. Just keep it light.
