i've had several expereiences with ouija boards, some interesting, some disturbing, and as skeptical as i try to be i have to admit i have seen it personally say things and do things that i can not logically explain.

some say its your sub-conscience, some say its spirits, others say its demons.

i am just wondering if any of you have had experiences with the ouija board, what they were, and what you believe about them, supernatural or just another simple amusement?

Demonic exorcism by a JW elder

we moved into an apartment on the 2nd floor.

we were jws at the time, and the family on the first floor under us was studying.. the girl downstairs started hearing noises during the night and finally hearing steps up to the side of her bed.

she was so scared she hadn't slept in a while and was so tired.

What's Your View of Spanking (Children)?

I was spanked real hard as a child. A swat for each word "Dont you ever do that again ......"etc. Mom even told me that she would stop when I cried so she would know that it got through to me. All that I got was upset at being hurt so bad by my mother that is supposed to love me. Oh.. and she used a belt and was swinging at my butt. Sometimes the buckle would get me cause I would be running around the room to get away from her.

I would never do as she does. Spank that much w/ that much force and doing so out of anger. I rarely swat my kids on the hand or hiney. But I do and my dad laughs at me for it cause he says its not a spanking.

My girls are very smart and sharp tongued at times. If I take away toys etc.. they just ask " So .. when am i getting it back".. Time - outs don't work.. but I still use them. My youngest actually has asked for swats versus time-out since its over quicker..lol

My oldest has been lying and trying to get her sis in trouble and writing down 100 times -I will not Lie- didn't work so I gave her a dirty job for when she lied again - she had to clean up dog poopy from the back yard w/ a pooper scooper and gloves and a trash bag. - I am trying everything other then spanking.

Some claim the job of pooper scooper is wrong to do as well. Something has to work. If I say "no TV for a week" they are fine reading books and playing toys and making a mess in their room. If I say no toys the just read or go outside and play. If I say no going outside they just take a nap. UGH!!!

JWs are not a cult................

when you were an active jw, how did you feel when ppl accused you of being a cult !!!!!!!!!

and do you think its a cult now your out ?

My dad (JW) told me that a while ago he was talking Trinity w/ someone and that person told him that he is just brain-washed. I said " well dad, in a way we are. We are told to just trust what they say on the stage and not do our own research out of other books." Dad says " well, that is more for the kind of people that read stuff from other places and believe them blindly and turn away from JW teachings because of it. Its more of a safety precaution."

If someone or some group tells you over and over again all your life that the world is flat and there is no way you personally can prove or disprove and other things they say have been true then ALL THINGS they say must be true as well so why research. That is how the JW group works. You are beat to death with their beliefs and since they were right when they said you were going to be persecuted for being JW they must be right in all other things.

Hey you know.. they were right. Bad association does spoil useful habits.. I was hanging out w/ a wordly friend and he got me to smoke weed for the first time!!! And not long after that I started (gasp) thinking for myself. Relying upon my own interpretation. JWs were RIGHT!!!!!..

I asked my hubby if I could get one last night and it was an emphatic 'NO!'. Maybe if I got one and didn't use it in or around the house.. like... at a park or something. I guess his issue is the rumor that the spirit will linger around. I have had instances of strange things happening and thinking they were from spirits but they didn't hang around me all my life.. as soon as I started not really being at the meetings..etc they stopped.

i am just not wanting my dying mother to really know so she can die feeling that me and my kids will be alive in the paradise! If they were to announce it and make it harder on my parents uuugghh! They already dont have many friends there anyway.

Most people feel that they are bieng kind in doing so but it takes away from the other person learning a lesson if you lend them $ for example. And I dont care for borrowing since it makes me feel sad that I am in that much of a need and try not to get there and if there already it makes me work harder to get out of it w/ out borrowing.
