It's human nature Justice-One. You're entitled to your opinion as long as it agrees with mine. Otherwise, you are a horrible person. ;-)

Where will you go when you die?
by Bstndance inthis is sort of fluff.
one night while i was bored on the internet, i stumbled across some guy's page that was totally devoted to his study of the afterlife.
in it he stated that when people die they go to the afterlife that they believe in.

Thanks everyone. I totally didn't see there was another thread started by Life Is Grand on nearly the same subject before me. My computer doens't always refresh the pages for new topics :-(
As for me? I haven't decided where I'm going yet. As long as I'm not floating around playing a harp.

What is your town or area's claim to fame?
by free2beme inevery where you live, the local area has something about it that is either famous for something good or something bad.
as an example, you go to one town and it may have the historial site of a famous war battle.
you go to another an it might be the place something was invented, or the birthplace of someone famous.

Los Angeles - Famous for hot, sunny weather. Traffic. Hollywood. Fake boobs. But what makes it unique is that the city is so diverse through the sprawl that you can drive 15-20 minutes and feel like you're in a totally different world.
My hometown: Windsor Locks, CT - The only thing I can think of is that it is halfway between New York City and Boston. There's a road called Halfway House Road which used to have a station or something that was where people would stop. Besides that, Windsor Locks was hope to the busiest commercial airport in Connecticut. It was beat up by a tornado in 1975. People still talk about it.

by Elsewhere ini'm leaving work tired and stressed from a hard day and what do i find???

Aw, your poor Mini!! I love my Mini too. I remember when I first got it I would look out the window everytime I heard another car parking by it. I still close the mirrors when i park too.
It's a shame that the person is trying to blame you. People are such @-holes about that stuff. A few months ago when someone did a u-turn in front of me she tried to blame me. I would hope that if I caused an accident I would admit to it. Karma will get them.

I always try to put things in perspective and remember that life could be alot worse and it is for millions of people all around the world.
But in more realistic terms, a twelve pack with a close friend and some TV and everything bad seems to melt away.

This is sort of fluff. One night while I was bored on the internet, I stumbled across some guy's page that was totally devoted to his study of the afterlife. In it he stated that when people die they go to the afterlife that they believe in. For example, if you're a baptist you will go to a baptist heaven. If you're a JW your afterlife would be like the paradise and you'll still think you're on earth but you're not.
So, just for fun. Where will you go when you die?

I would agree that the government controls more actions than thoughts. But it is not always bad. Let's say you are driving down the road running late and you get to an intersection that has a red light. Well the goverment installed cameras to ticket you if you run the light which in turn controls your actions because you would think twice about running the light which would also keep you safe from possibly getting creamed. The media has more power over thought.
As far as the comment regarding bashing the current administration is anti-USA. I am a republican who is none to pleased with this administration. If feel me displeasure is actually more American because I love my country and I'm just concered about some of the things that are happening. But it's equally American to have your opinion as well. -

STUDY: Hallucinogen in mushrooms prompts positive changes in people
by Elsewhere inhttp://www.physorg.com/news71808185.html
scientists show hallucinogen in mushrooms creates universal 'mystical' experience
using unusually rigorous scientific conditions and measures, johns hopkins researchers have shown that the active agent in "sacred mushrooms" can induce mystical/spiritual experiences descriptively identical to spontaneous ones people have reported for centuries.

I totally believe in this study. When I left the borg and came out at 16, I went thorugh a little wild period. During this time I tried lsd but i didn't know what it was exactly. Someone said, "here put this on your tongue". OMG! Well it probably was one of the most scary and enlightening experiences of my life. I would never do it again; but, I believe it has changed me and my way of thinking. I think it finally activates some of that other 90% of our brain capacity that sits dormant.
