"Scary time to live in America..." exactly. The political polarization alone is nuts. Although, I suspect that there are alot more centrists and rational people out there but unfortunately the only people that have the media's ears are the extreme left and extreme right.
its a long story but id be very appreciative if anyone could scan and send me a page from the jw `prayer/song book`, i need to prayer i think is called "life without end at last", at least this is a prominent line in the song/hymn.
its the one used at funerals.
early on in the book.
Back when I was a teenage JW, I used to get together with my friends and turn pop songs into Kingdom Melodies. The one that was most memorable was in the late 90's when that special yellow tract had to be distrubuted worldwide we turned TLC's "Red Light Special" into "Yellow Tract Special". Talk about a 180. Now I can't listed to "Red Light Special" without thinking of the old song.

It's called fair use.
I believe people are able to quote news stories without risk of prosecution as long as the source is properly credited and it's not for commericial use. Many political comercials quote news paper articles all the time and do not need to obtain permission to use it. So good luck turning the site in.
.
as an apartment dweller i'm used to an electric bill that is about $80 to $100 per month... but with the summer heat my bill just jumped to $180!
ouch!!!!!!
Holy Crap is right! $80 a month is your regular bill in your apartment?!?
I live in an apartment too and it's about $9/month off season and $24/month in the summer. I'll never complain again.

I couldn't edit my last post so here's another..
warning about blood products being found in food that you wouldnt suspect
That one haunted me for awhile even while I was out. Then, I went to France and ate some wonderful food that probably had blood products in it and loved every minute of it.
I remember my mom wouldn't even buy foreign chocolates because she was afraid they may contain blood. She felt that should would die in the big A even if she unknowingly did it. What a horrible god they worship. The ironic thing is that my mom always made chicken, and there are always blood clots and veins in chicken.

we had a boe letter read recently.
the september 2006 awake will be 100% dedicated to the "creation vs. evolution" issue.. even the "young people ask" article will be something like "how can i defend my belief in creation in school?
also, i think one of the articles is entitled "does the bible support the notion that the earth was created in 6 24-hour days?".
Blondie is right regarding dubs trying to explain creation.
There are times I discuss the topic with my mother and throw in a few points that are part of evolution and she will totally agree with me. If you word it right, they don't know the difference.
just got back from vegas baby!.
wife and i left sin city up $4,000.

Awesome! Congrats! The most I've ever won was $20. But it was a nickel slot machine so I guess I did pretty well.
when i went to europe, i saw nudity in commercials, and other sexual topics used to advertise products.
as an american, i was shocked to see such things in places that seemed out of place of such tools of such an extreme nature.
i tend to feel, even to this day, that public nudity in advertising is something that is over the top.
I agree Europe is so much more relaxed than the US when it comes to nudity and sex. Hey we're all human. You either have one set of parts or the other and everyone pretty much knows what they look like. I remember seeing bus ads in Germany featuring nudity. It was a shock at first but then you get over it.
The only thing that bugs me is nudity in clothing ads. Abercrombie for example. Most of the time their models aren't even wearing clothes! There's also a Jones Jeans billboard in LA and the model is isn't wearing any jeans! Just a bare butt. They must be selling invisible jeans.
