Pob,
Rest assured, Posh has been deported out of England and is taking up exile in LA with all of the other plastic looking celebrities. :-(
I do like the reports that she likes David's money too much to let him join Scientology. :-)

There's no such thing as personal responsibility anymore.
This case has no merit. There is no evidence that myspace or newscorp encourages, promotes, or even condones the type of actions that happened. The kids should sue their parents for poor parenting. -

Prince parties after the Golden Globes...
by orbison11 inhope this is not a repost.
seems prince hosted a 'bash' with all the worldly entertainers from the golden globes,,,,not a 'brother' in sight,,,,sigh,,just bad association.... .
justin timberlake and cameron diaz, who announced last week that they'd split up, got into a heated argument at prince's golden globes afterparty early tuesday morning.

Wasn't the last party at a club with strippers? And Prince tried to give a witness to one of the woman?
I can just see the men lining up to do informal witnessing at stripclubs.

The last hour of work is always the longest hour of the day. Yet, the six hours I have at home before bed go by so quickly.

Witness's refusal of transfusion costs his life
by Dogpatch inwitness's refusal of transfusion costs his life http://www.canada.com/montrealgazette/news/montreal/story.html?id=e2a8aa3e-af52-4381-9d4c-c3fb7d0fe922&k=15147.

sunday, january 14, 2007. a young jehovah's witness's decision to refuse a blood transfusion - which eventually led to his death - has split his family along religious lines.. jean-claude lavoie, 26, died in late december after refusing a transfusion while being treated for an intestinal tumour, the tqs television network reported friday.. lavoie's brother, who is a former jehovah's witness, has since launched an internet petition calling on the federal government to make it illegal for a person to refuse treatment on religious grounds.. "the jehovah's witnesses refuse blood transfusions for religious reasons," jonathan lavoie writes on the petition's website.. "this creates enormous stress for the family.".

which is ironic because she says she would try her best to prevent me from ever receiving a blood transfusion
That just irks me. But of course, fight fire with fire. The same reason they file advanced medical directives, you can too to prevent them from forcing their medical ideals on you.

Update #2
by Bstndance inso my mom called as promised today.
she really didn't have much to say besides she stands by what she has to say in her letter.
(i can no longer stay over night at her place when i fly out there, i am limited in the things i can talk to her about) i told her that it really isn't in my own best financial interest to visit anymore as i not only have to pay for a ticket and rental car, but now i have to worry about staying in a hotel.

So my mom called as promised today. She told me I could stay at my brother's place. True but I really don't want to visit for the time being.
Here's where I took the high road: I told her that I know that the reason why she preaches to me against my wishes is because she loves me and she honestly believes in the WTS crap and so she feels she needs to do this in order to save my life; but, since I do know where she's coming from and I still do not believe it, she needs to step off because I don't believe that. I also stated that I do not agree with the WTS and feel that she is going down the wrong path and as much as I love her, I respect her wishes and do not try to pull her out. It probably kills me not to do anything as much as it kills her. Of course I'm sure she doesn't buy my side as much but we did come to that understanding.
A couple JW-ism things: She brought up that Jehovah directed her to find out that I was posting on apostate websites. I laughed at it and said she found out because she ran into my little brother's myspace page which was linked to mine. She stated that I could be disfellowshipped for that. I explained that the last time I checked, I could associate with anyone I want to because I am not a Jehovah's Witness and therefore whatever crazy rules there are do not apply to me. I also stated that I have been associating with "apostates" for many years and have never once tried to "preach" to her.
The second JW thing: I mentioned to her that I was concerned as she was getting older and self employed and my step-father was nearing retirement age, that they really don't have their ducks in a row. I stated they need to do something about it NOW. I said ",Armegeddon (sp?) could be around the corner. It could be tomorrow, but it could thirty years from now and I don't want to see them filing for bankruptcy" She acknowledged that and then said that she firmly believes it's coming in her lifetime. She must be CT Russell reincarnated. HAHA!
So that's it. Sorta status quo. The dynamic of our relationship has certainly changed. I think I'm done visiting out there for awhile. I think I'll take 2007 off and use my FF miles to go somewhere fun. -

Is David Beckham worth $250 million?
by unbeliever ini read that david beckham is leaving real madrid and coming to the us to play for the la galaxy.
soccer is not that popular in the us and that is a obscene amount of money to pay a player and i am surprised that david beckham would want to finish out his career playing in the us.
i guess for $250 million anyone would.

Posh and Becks have been very chummy with TomKat. Apparently, Mr. Beckham chatted it up with Tom Cruise for three hours one night before making his decision to come to LA. I hope that doesn't mean they are becoming lil Xenus (scientologists)

i've heard that the rate at which younger kids are leaving has increased.
is this true?

Richie's got it all down. You may also want to be cautious when talking to your friend as some JWs like to throw people under the bus to make themselves look better.
Richie, aren't you a little too young to be at a bar? HAHA -

Did anyone work for the TV/Newspaper while a JW?
by Junction-Guy inand if so were you instrumental in keeping negative jw publicity from reaching the public?
did you find yourself editing out comments that werent favorable to the jw's?-----im wondering if the majority of newspapers and tv stations dont have at least one jw on their editorial staff who helps protect things for the wt.

Sounds like something the Scientologists do.
