disclaimer.
first of all......let me start off by saying this.
i am not intending in any way to start any arguments with this topic.
so please...if you're gonna hate...just don't do it here.
Damn, now you're spoiling my fun.

P.S. Cute pup!
im a 16 yr old russian jew so i dont no alot about jw's (and lol no im not planing on converting hehe) its just today some jw's came to my home and asked me to convert to jw's (werent very nice people very insulting) but after they went my mom told me about a case she had to take to court (she is a lawyer on a health firm)about a young boy who was going to die if he did not get a blood transfusion but because his parents were jw's they refused it and when my mother got the order for the hospital to go ahead the parents rejected the child who is only 6 and the child is now in care.
i just wanted to know why jw's do that because i find it really sad that the parents of that small boy would rather have their child die than live a healthy life.
i dont mean any disrespect i just want to know why you forbid transfusions?
Welcome to the board!
You'll find that most of us are no longer Jehovah's Witnesses; many of us have left because we disagree with many of their teachings and policies, some of which change from time to time.
The JWs refuse blood because of their improper understanding of some bible verses that forbid the eating of blood.

The last time I filled up the price was around $1.08 per litre. It cost me $80 to fill my tank.

on page 146 of what does the bible really teach?, the opening sentence of paragraph 6 purports to represent one of the six criteria for determining the true religion.
it reads: "god's servants base their teachings on the bible.".
Finally free I only reply to you because I stumble at your rudeness and meanness. I take pot shots at you in return to yours.
Funny, I thought my pot shots were in response to yours. Speaking of "rudeness and meanness" I sugest you review your own posting history. I won't bother linking to them - you're not worth any more of my time. You've still neglected to answer my question. I take that to mean you cannot answer it, just as no elder could answer it either. Like you, they didn't even try. I'm glad you post here defd. I think you're doing a great job. Every day you remind us why we continue to shun Jehovah's Witnesses. Keep up the good work! W

So, defd. You appear to be capable of replying to me when it suits you, yet when I pose a serious question that is not in jest you conveniently ignore them. Such as the question below, that I posed to you on 2 occasions. These are scriptures a CO once suggested we use when speaking to Mormons, but they apply equally to all.
Have Jehovah's Witnesses ever taught anything that is not explicitly supported by the bible? If so, how can one still call them the "truth" in light of the following scriptures?
Gal. 1: 8
However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to YOU as good news something beyond what we declared to YOU as good news, let him be accursed.
Rev. 22: 18, 19
“I am bearing witness to everyone that hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll; 19 and if anyone takes anything away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take his portion away from the trees of life and out of the holy city, things which are written about in this scroll.

Just because it is Gods Org. does not mean it HAS to be PERFECT.
The Watchtower is imperfect, but it alone is approved by God.
All other religions in the world are imperfect, and they are all controlled by Satan in order to keep people out of God's imperfect organization.
Am I stupid or something? Am I the only person who cannot see the difference between imperfection and imperfection?

i just unsubscribed from a crafting newsletter that i have been receiving for a couple of years.
all along, i have been willing to overlook the "uber-christian" leanings because they offered some neat things like free fonts and cute scrapbooking ideas.
but today they had a feature called "customer spotlight" that just irked the heck out of me:.
I remember a JW woman who was talking about her daughter who, at a young age fell into a swimming pool. She was rescued and was fine. Years later the mother was going on, and on, and on about how "Jehovah blessed her" by saving the child. Her brother-in-law immediately began giving her shit, saying, "By saying that your daughter had Jehovah's blessing becuase she survived you're implying that all children who don't survive accidents are cursed by Jehovah." As I later learned, another woman who was present had lost a child to a tragic accident - can you imagine how she felt when she heard this first woman go on and on?
JWs are notorious for this kind of stupidity. If things go well it's "Jehovah's blessing". If things don't go well "Jehovah is allowing you to be tested". Jehovah always seems to have a way out. He's never responsible. He is the great creator of loopholes.
I wish I could cause so much shit (or allow so much shit to take place) and still live without consequences.

Can I add a question?

i was wondering something and wanted to see what others thought .... my sister, an active witness, recently became a foster parent to a baby.
in history, the baby is the child of my uncles underage girlfriend, that he is now serving time for raping (under age, always seen as a rape).
the young woman was doing meth (clean for almost a year now), and was living with her own mother who was an alcoholic.
My brother-in-law, well, he has repeatedly said "I do not want to keep the child permanent!" My sister has not even discussed with him adopting and kept all her work behind his back. He doesn't even know what is happening.
I think someone should tell him, and soon!
If someone tried to pull something like this on me the relationship would be over within a minute.
