I always liked westerns, except for the 'singing cowboy' type. I'll have to buy the DVD when it comes out.

Watchtower = Elders can disfellowship people for being too FAT!!! Has this happened?
by Witness 007 inwatch 1974 p.167 "by disobediently overindulging in food and making a glutton of himself, he fails to show love for jehovah...if in the presence of others does he selfishly ignore there needs and take more than his share?
is he grossly overwieght but shows no restraint at all as to food, habitually gorging himself?
does he feel un-comfortable, perhaps even sick because of eating too much ...glutton has no place in god's congregation...they will not inherit god's kingdom...".

by yadda yadda 2 inwhy are so many guys getting their arms tattoed?
looks awful, like they have been in a fire and have ash all over their arms, or like they have gangrene.
just looks kinda dirty.

All fat JWs should be disfellowshipped. If they have a valid reason for being fat, such as a metabolic disorder, they should be required to provide the elders with copies of their medical history. In any event, they should not be granted extra privileges of service in Jehovah's congregation, nor should they be invited to congregation get togethers, for we don't want to be sharers in their sin by contributing to their fatness. They do not portray God's Holy Organization in an acceptable way. After all, it's all about appearances, right? Look in the Society's publications. You'll never see a picture of Jesus or his apostles being fat, therefore obesity must be a contemptible sin. Even Satan isn't portrayed as being fat, therefore fat people must be even worse than Satan himself!

Just a dumb fad except it doesn't wash off.
Exactly. At least the older fads like long hair and platform shoes were easy to ditch once they were out of fashion. Personally, I've always found tatoos to be unattractive.

Non-evidence reasons why people embrace Evolution.
by hooberus inevolutionists always claim that the reason why they believe in evolution and reject creation is due to "evidence".
they frequently use the opposite term "no evidence" in relation to any type of intelligent design, or creation, (and especially to genesis creation and flood history !).
their advocated beliefs always tend to include whatever is necessary to believe in to intellectually "explain" the existence of the universe, world, and its creatures without needing god).

How else am I ever going to have a social life in the org. if I don't pioneer?
Another drawback is that you lose your social life if you stop pioneering. That's when you really find out where you stand with these people. Many times my ex was invited to "get togethers" because she was a pioneer. I was told I couldn't come because I wasn't a pioneer anymore. (I stopped for health reasons).

Rejected by Immediate Family

the communication with my family stayed pretty normal.
they would call once in a while and text me.

I wouldn't contact them. They need to see there are consequences that come with their decision to shun you. If they do call you, restrict the amount of personal information you give them. They've already shown their willingness to use it against you.
They need to learn that this sort of rejection can work both ways. As long as you chase after them you are giving them control.
