I can think of 3 halls that have no windows, but they're in areas with a lot of crime. Most of the halls I was in have windows.

Another" Windowless Kingdom Hall" thread..
by Snoozy inwell, i have talked to a few people and no one knows of any kingdom halls that have no or little windows.
does anyone here have an address or picture of one they have seen?.
i tried doing a search but it looks like the only one commenting on them are ex jw's... any info anyone?.

(A DF'd person feigned friendship to get gossip details to report to some elders. It was no big deal, but it speaks volumes about the person's character mental state.)
This reminds me of an experience I had a few years back. I knew an ex-jw who, for some unknown reason, considered getting reinstated, and went to the hall I DA'd from. It didn't take long for me to start hearing some of the gossip about me, particularly from some elders. I had a feeling they were deliberately talking shit about me in an effort to get "one last kick at the cat", knowing this person would relay everything to me. Since I have no living JW family anymore, this was the only way they could still push my buttons from a distance like typical JW cowards.
This BS ended when the individuals were advised they might be hit with a defamation suit.

i can see how we are being desensitized to others feelings.
there are things that i've said to others online that i never would say to someone face to face.

Why dont JW's walk around with Placard Boards now ?
by sleepingbeauty inare there laws preventing them walking around with 'repent, the end is nigh placard boards or is it a practise that they just prefer not to do now ?.

Jehovah's Witnesses - Are they loving?
by brotherdan injehovah's witnesses love to claim that they are a true religion because they are the most loving people on earth.
they rant and rave about how they apply john 13:35 to themselves.. in a recent conversation with djeggnog, i was shocked at some of the hateful things that he was saying to me.
now i know that i have been in some pretty heated debates with others, but i try to never make it personal.

In a word, NO! As for the rest, why waste your time talking to people like that? You can't force people to change their opinions against their will.
Personally, the more biblical debates and arguments I see, the less inclined I am to place any value on the book.

For those that are and have been married,did the JW lifestyle aggravate "typical" marital and family problems?

The only reason my ex married me was because I was a pioneer™, Gilead was no longer taking applications from single sisters™ and no other brother™ in the hall would give her the time of day. I'm just sorry I was too stupid to see it at the time.
The fact that I was never an elder or MS was always a source of friction too. She was also quite angry when I told her that, according to the elders, she was the reason I never made "progress". She reeked of ambition and everyone knew it.

The only thing I watch is Canada AM on weekday mornings while I'm getting ready for work, mostly for the benefit of background noise. It's 10% news, 10% weather, and 80% breakfast club fluff. I can't believe I'm paying over $50 a month for this. Time to cancel the cable.

i was a rapidly fading jw when i started but still considered myself a christian for a good few years more.
now i've embraced reason and rejected faith i'm a very happy atheist and enjoy learning more about the fact of evolution.. what about you?.

Yes. It has little to do with whether or not I believe in a god. I don't care about that. I don't have time.
When I first began my exit from the JWs I cared what others thought - family, friends, workmates, other JWs, etc. I don't require anyone's approval any more. This is my life, and I make the rules. People who don't like me for what I am are free to move on.
