i hadn't heard this before.... sadly, it seems in perfectly in character for them.
In a former workplace we weren't supposed to call 911 either. We had an internal security desk we were supposed to call, and they would contact 911. It was a large secure building, with many entrances, and they were better equipped to ensure the emergency personell got to the right place. I might add, they were also trained to handle a variety of emergencies, unlike JW attendants.

it seems kind of crazy to go to someone's house touting your religion as truth and then not even defend your own beliefs.
why do jws stop the chat if someone just tries to calmly reason/debate with them?
i'm not talking about crazy preachers who start slamming bibles and yelling about how they need jesus or something.

since the fade i think it is very funny, still not a favorite but not the end of the world either.

I wanted to walk out of the Lion King but I was with my then-wife, who was really enjoying it. I wasn't raised as a JW, so a movie needs steamy sex, gratuitous violence, profanity, and a lot of explosions to keep my attention.

the made contact through my aunt who is still 'in' - as in she has faded but is not disfellowshipped and will pop to a meeting now and again - she does this for my grans' sake.. the contact was from my aunt and uncle (he's an elder) these were the 2 witnesses used against me in my judicial case.
they contacted my aunt and said to forward the message onto us.
If you were burning in the street they wouldn't piss on you to ease your pain. They have no right to expect any better in return.

so apologies if this is recycling some old debates, but i've just taken a quirk squint at the whole aawa affair.. stupidity which outed people by accident, most likely really.
but aawa idioms on the new site are straight out of a jw writing dept.
they're prolly just made up of indoctrinated ex-jws talking to other indoctrinated ex-jws, but really i couldn't think of a better false flag offensive than what aawa seems to have become.. jw media dept must be loving this shower of incompetence and desperate re-branding, that or there is a small chance it's a part of their own media plan?.

with internet access to material published by the watchtower and it being offered free door to door and at the congregation literature counter it should not be surprising that the wtb&ts doesn't make the same profit as before when literature had to be paid for.. so the nonprofit corporation must turn to other sources of income, like playing bank with the congregation's money, as well as selling property of which they have a sizable fortune.
beg for more money from the mostly poor rank and file, suggest willing leaving valueble property to the corporation, mandatory tithing, and etc.... part of this sellable property are kingdumb halls owned by incorporated congregations which thier by-laws give the wt complete control.
as times get worse for this corporations i would expect them to be tapping this source of revenue more frequently.. they are selling all their brooklyn buildings, and closing down branches and selling the property, and they are selling kingdom halls(who gets the money?)..
Money laundering?
i do know one agency (i will not give a clue what kind of agency is it, etc...) that was run by a straight married female and her staff did not have any gay people in it and she quit to move to another state with her husband.
the board of directors hired a gay male to head the staff, the staff slowly quit by one by one for some unknown reasons and he begin to hire gay people to work for him, i now do not see any single straight worker working for him, is that discrimination for not hiring straight people?.
I just do not think the gay director is right at all.
Are you saying it's not right to have a gay director, or that the director's managerial style is flawed?
I might add that in most civilized places it's illegal for an employer to inquire about sexual orientation.

my wife passed away 2 years ago we had been married over 30 years, i have since remarried and my new wife is younger than 3 of my children from my first marriage.
i just wondering if there are any more like me out there.
i stay in excellent shape for my age, work out almost daily eat good and have absolutely no medical problems or at least none i can do anything about, bad knees, but my vitals are excellent, and i am known as the teenage because of them when i have my yearly medical checkup.. so was wondering if there are others out there like me, and what some may think about it, just for the record i am extremely happy once again, and we have a 18 month boy who delights me, have a whole new outlook on fatherhood and child raising.
It is the deliberate preying on young women who are not mature that makes me furious.
Do you still consider it "preying" when the young woman is the one coming on to an older man? I'm 55, overweight, and unhealthy as hell, but I have no shortage of women under 30 hitting on me.
Maybe they're trying to prey on my wallet. Good luck. Not much in there.
