my strange bethel courtship started with me trying to meet mike stillman's sister, even though he worked in the ink room next to my elevavator, we were not good friends, he was just a little to "country" for me........and on the righeous side too.

".........and there was nothing more dangerious at bethel then a self righteous new boy.. anyway one beautiful saturday morning, in 1972, we were walking to the factory, mike happen to be walking with me, and he happen to say "god........i would give anything to get out of this city on a day like today"..........i said "well....... i have a car and no place to go.........you have a place to go and no car"...he wasn't quite sure of me, but.............next thing i knew, it's him and me and 4 of his nerdy friends driving to rhode island.. needless to say, it was a great weekend and debbie who had just turned 19 was happy that her brother finally brought someone home with him, who wasn't a nerd like his other friends.

writing the wts

i know someone who just wrote the wts to tell them exactly what they thought of what's been going on.

this is a person in good standing and is active.

they know what's going on, they believe some of the doctrines, but are very unhappy about the scandals and the bs that has been going on.. they didn't sign their name or say which kh they go to.. so it got me thinking.... how many lurkers do we have here?

How I sent my letter

now that some time has passed i can say how i made my protest to watchtower.

i mailed that letter using the "special blue" envelopes used only for judicial correspondence.

so i know that it did not go through the usual channels for correspondence.

Hey one of the emails got through. I had sent it to Ralph Walls. I have had definite confirmation that it made it at least to the male ~~prostitutes~~ secretaries in the office. A few elders have read it as well. (WT doesn't know what they started pissing me off. Next stop the newspapers.)

If You've Faded, Do You Still Consider Yourself a Dub?

i've been thinking about this a lot, because i've chosen to fade and i would never refer to myself as a jdub, but i've read postings from others who do.

i would have written a letter a year ago but i've got older parents who are upset enough about me just not attending.

on another thread someone is also leaving and they were advised to tell the jc to do whatever, to not acknowledge that they have any authority.

Another way to look at this, is that the GB know that WT study articles are boring, stupid, and do not appeal to the public. So, they would rather issue one that presents their marketing image, and then one that they use to inculacate (indoctrinate) the JWs with their nonsense. Kind of like the Pied Piper who enticed children with his candy and charm, and then once inside the walls of Candyland, the slavery and abuse begin. (Believe me, those study articles are mental abuse ... as they are unfounded, boring, nonsense that numbs the mind and reduces the reader to a mind-numbed robot.)

How did the "Truth" set YOU free ?

the bible says that the truth will liberate you or set you free.. the watchtower applies this to their religion as if their "truth" sets people free.. if that's the case, how were you set free when you became a jw?.

My experience taught me that if Jesus meant anything it was truth in general. After all I was BORN a JW. There was nothing to be freed from. Further that religion enslaved me before I ever had a chance to be free. The truth about the "truth" is what set me free. Thus my handle: truthsetsonefree.
