Like the others I never allowed myself to be angry with anyone. I perfected mercy and forgiveness, swallowing my pride and offering the other cheek to the point I was going to explode and kill my husband!
Looking back, a little balance of power in my marriage would have been healthy and we might have survived.
Now I practice balance and if I am angry I am allowed to express this through effective communication and non confrontational methods.
I am now taking more responsibility for my happiness and success or failures.
I am happy to announce I am taking financial responsibility for myself too now and
ANEWME IS GOING BACK TO SCHOOL!
Yes this is a big step in channeling my anger and taking back my life from the Watchtower Society!
Im going to join our local symphony too again and enjoy playing my instrument again. Something I gave up to pioneer for the cult.
Good topic Lady Lee!

Using your anger to make positive changes in your life
by Lady Lee inusing your anger to make positive changes in your life.
"i was so mad i just exploded in rage.
" how many times have you heard someone say, "that wasn't very mature of you," after you have lost your temper.

Jehovah's Witnesses Meet The Truth Fairy!
by anewme ini just saw an awesome video on you tube!
a funny spoof of the typical door to door experience with jws from the householder's perspective.
this bold and funny gal (exjw) created an educational video exposing some of the weird ideas the witnesses promote.

I saw the Memorial Spoof as well and thought it was funny. She has a different sense of humor born I believe from her years of extreme frustration in the Society. Her book "Out of the Cocoon" tells the story of her struggle.
What I thought was funny about the Memorial video was that now the Society claims that the heavenly calling is not limited to 144,000 or something? Or that the list has not been filled? This allows for some on the governing body to claim anointing etc. But it certainly answers the questions many of us had about why the number of anointed ones keeps growing and not diminishing as it should if their "truth" was in fact truth.
Their Answer: NEW LIGHT
When in truth its just: OLD TRICKS AND COVER UP LIES
Im sure Brenda's videos will protect many non witnesses from recruitment into the org. and that may be her goal.
The Society can stand a little teasing for all its done to us I feel. -

I think it is meant to be humorous and fun with its exaggerated characters.
Check it out on you tube by typing "Jehovahs Witnesses Meet The Truth Fairy"

Even though you're a JW, I don't know you so back off!
by Younglove1999 indid you ever feel that way when you were in "the truth"?
i hated that people tried to overstep the normal boundaries humans have with strangers and get all "brotherly and encouraging".
when we changed congregations, i found it so annoying when people we barely knew tried to act as if we were best friends.
-

I too believed in the "brotherhood" among the JWs.
When you get dfd you get a rude awakening about your so called friends and family.
It is a shock to fully realize they view you now as scum and dead and demonized.
When just the day before they only thought of you as scum. -

Wow.
I can see I can never go back even if I wanted to.
I can no longer blindly accept gobbledy goop from religious charlatans.
I use to overlook it as harmless, but I was wrong.
There are proper things, people and organizations to hate. -

Week long Elders school announced
by JWFreak inat the agm it was announced that all elders in the us will attend a weeks 5 days kingdom ministry school next year.

I can hardly believe this. Really.
What an imposition! My former elder husband was handicapped and there was no way he was going to go and I certainly would not go to New York to assist him while he attended a bogus minister's school.
I dont think this is true. If it is, I feel so sorry for all the elders families.
Please keep us informed about this.
Thanks,

Oh boy, that story makes me boil.
We need to be firm with those fanatics.
"Please step aside. I will deal with you when I have no other customers"
Good grief. -

14-year old flees mind control cult
by TJ - iAmCleared2Land inhttp://www.cnn.com/2007/us/law/09/11/fleeing.polygamy.hammon/index.html.
good for her!!
there's so many similarities between fundamental mormonism (and even conventional mormanism) and jw's it's spooky.. i'm proud of this girl for getting "out".

This is what it will take on the part of all who escape a cult------PUBLIC EXPOSURE!
We must all be brave and expose these cults-------the Watchtower included.
This is an acceptable avenue to do fight the Watchtower. It is not acceptable to turn to violence or pranks to get back at it. -

Did you get a little pressured to get baptized young?
by outofthebox inwe saw an elder the other night trying to convince a couple of kids that they were ready to be unbaptized publishers.
and then he went and added that he was baptized very young and they should too.
so, these two kids were feeling the pressure.

I was 17 and my 17 year old friend from HS studied with me. She pestered me to get baptized at the 1972 Circuit Assembly as they were called. She pestered me and another girl she studied with to get baptized on the same day. She had a party planned at her house that night.
On the day of my baptism I had doubts and expressed these to her. I did not fully believe in Satan. She threw a tantrum of sorts and began crying and pulled me over to an elder to talk with me and convince me to get baptized. When I told him I had doubts and felt unworthy he said " Well, if we wait until we are perfect to get baptized, then we never will get baptized." Somehow that calmed my fears and I caved in to the pressure of the crying pioneer.
Right after I got baptized she dumped me as a friend. I was too stupid to see it. I just thought she was too busy pioneering.
By the way, about Satan, I never did fully believe it all.
I really was more interested in happy family life than all the scriptural trivia.
