Hey I forgot that I do have one! A parting gift from my JW husband as I was walking out the door!
I kid you not!
I'll see if it works in this new computer I got here.

No you are not bragging. But I'll bet you are proud nonetheless! My first one cost me more than that but came also with a color printer. I replaced the printer with the hp psc 2410xi photosmart all-in-one.
I must say I am having so much fun with this printer and computer combo! I can copy and store all my digital pictures. I make cards and love to send them.
With your kids Derrick there could be so much fun with a computer at home! Also school projects will become much more professional looking. Teach your kids to type. Proficient typing is a good thing.
Listen to AlmostA. about the guards and restrictions! You can be on top of what your kids look at.
Good for you Defd!
Congratulations! -

Hey Defd, that's great! Which Dell are you getting? I would like to get a second computer and Dell is offering some incredible deals! I bought the Inspiron 2500 years ago with a 5 year warranty. I have used the warranty twice with wonderful results. I knew nothing of computers. I was a blank page. They walked me through countless evenings trouble shooting toll free from Canada. And when something stopped working they came and picked up my laptop and boxed it and took it to Tennesse for a week and then returned it good as new! I am a big fan of Dell. They let me have the computer no down and no interest charges for 3 years. I just paid a small sum every month and continue to enjoy this lap top computer.
I'm sure the new computers are more powerful now. I saw an ad for a flat screen for $399.00. That was tempting for a second computer. I would go with Dell again.
So which one are you getting????? -

ok i think i finally have made a decision
by Cordelia insoooooo any of you thats been following my threads thanks (and poor u) i have changed my mind so many times.
i have finally decided that i must stop trying to get reinstated, basically i got dfed 9 months ago had a boyfriend i felt i loved, was married tho still to my hubby who is only just starting to divorce me, (hes waited coz he keeps saying we could try again for the sake of our daughter but he would expect me to be completly in the 'truth') i hid the bf from my family coz they were so heartbroke and i decided to please them i would get reinstated and then fade, but as time went on i realised that wasnt an option as with a family like mine it would be so hard to do, plus there was the bf still hidden poor guy, anyway we spilt up several times, i was a complete physco i kept blaming him for everything,.
anyway last month i put my letter of reinstatement in and sat there scared stiff that they would reinstate me (as that would defo mean the end of the bf) they didnt reinstate me, and i blamed the bf and we spilt for good;.

I am still interested in finding the truth. From reading here, I think I will only at best discover "the truth as I see it".
A while ago I announced I was going to go back.
This I have done.
But I am also still here with you.
I want to know all there is to know.
I have grown from being here. -

If spirits exist, and really communicate with some people, then why...
by AlmostAtheist inif spirits really exist, and really communicate with some people, then why don't the people ever ask anything that anyone cares about?!?!.
"when did you die?".
"did you own any pets?".

My new mother in law insists she is in touch with spirit guides.
Both my husband and I just shrug our shoulders and leave her alone. Because otherwise she is a terrific and loving person.
But we see definite patterns in her revelations that she refuses to acknowledge.
Errors, errors, errors, and back peddling.
The only one she's been right about is me and my halo aura! -

Prepare to be SHOCKED.
by nicolaou inrecent posts have encouraged us all to be more tolerant of others beliefs whether those are religious, atheist or anything in the middle.
fair enough.
still, that doesn't mean i'm going to go easy on all you believers, yes even you jw lurkers who are reading this.. .

Not fully applying scriptures
by XBEHERE ingalatians 6:10- really, then, as long as we have time favorable for it, let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those related to [us] in the faith.
i was thinking this weekend with hurricane rita devastating texas and louisiana that the jw's really do take care of their own when disasters strike.
however if you clearly read that scripture in galatians it says "work what is good towards all" then it says "espcially those related to us in the faith".

You know folks, thanks. I naively believed you all to have a perspective I might admire.
It was initially a relief to step away from the JWs and speak about my grievances with the individuals and some of the procedures I grew to dislike.
But I now realize this is a hate based forum. I thought this was a freedom based forum. But clear un biased thinking is not to be found here. There is prejudice and down right hatred for anything related to the JW.
You want to stay around and rip it to shreds. Why not just leave it and move on like healthy people?
And those of you who post the Watchtower and Service meeting parts and witty tirades week after week only to ridicule and destroy the faith of others, but offer nothing in its place, are the little mean gouls of the exdub kingdom here promoting the hatred.
Ozzie saying the preaching work is "crap" was a real eyeopener for me.
Enjoy your little kingdub here, your underworld of hopelessness.
I will speak against you and your forum out there in the sunshine and the real world.
(Angry more at myself for associating so long with you all here.)
