  If spirits really exist, and really communicate with some people, then why don't the people ever ask anything that anyone cares about?!?!

  "What's your name?"
  "When did you die?"
  "Did you own any pets?"

  Who the hell cares? I've never heard of anyone asking the questions that you would genuinely want to get answers to from a person that just might be able to answer them.

  "What happens when you die?"

  "Have you met God?"

  "Do you need to eat/sleep/anything to sustain yourself?"

  "Can you be injured?"

  It just struck me the other day that on the few occasions when people genuinely feel they've communicated with the other side, they waste the opportunity on nonsense.

  Am I being stupid here? (FreedomFrog is not allowed to answer that!)

  What I want to know is why the method of communication is so poor and unreliable. In fact, it seems to have got worse over the centuries. There are so many dead scientists. Couldn't some of them come up with a more effective method of communication?

  I agree.

  A while ago one of the top mediums in the country was being interviewed on TV. The interviewer asked, "Why do mediums always seem to have spirit guides. Usually some Indian or similar."

  Also like you he asked "Whats life like on the other side? Where is God? Do you see him?"

  The medium didn't seem to know how to answer him.

  I was watching a docum. the other day when they took a medium to a house that he knew nothing about (But the people doing the show knew the history, people, names, who died where, etc...) and the medium hit it nearly exactly right ( There was more then one spirit in the house) Anyhoo, the medium was saying that they had not passed over because of unfinished business or something that is bothering them, something like the new show 'Ghost Whisperer'!

  They did catch a few things on video!

  I totally agree with you! Montel has a "physic" on his show about once a week and all they ever say is fluff stuff. It does seem to me that one of those "spirits" would tell us something that we all needed to know...

  1. What is God like? Have you met this divine being or anyone else yet?

  2. What do you do all day/night?

  3. How fast can you travel? How can we improve our transportation methods?

  4. Is Bush going to finish out his entire term as President? If so, do we need to be making life altering changes now?

  The point I was trying to bring out is they can't tell us things because they are 'trapped' between the two places...they did not cross over!

  Legolas...I understand what you are saying and I do catch the "Ghost Hunters" series occasionally. I did see the segment where the cameraman was thrown down and the "shadow" was walking down the hall in the old prison. There is some force that did this. I should tell these guys to go check out the elementary school that I attended. The building is very old and my 6th grade classroom supposedly had a ghost! My teacher did several experiments and determined that we really did have one and so when we would hear it making noise in the closet she would just tell it to be quite and laugh. It didn't seem to like things put on one shelf and would knock it off!

  My point is...we don't really get any info from the ones who are trying to "cross over". What is taking them so long, what is the problem?

  How are they able to be invisible, etc.? What are they made of?

  Surely they should be able to pass some scientific info along!
