Waiting to see what Marcel does next. Does he decide to take that leap of faith and have a little taste of life...

LITTLE TALES
by compound complex inlooking out his studio's street-side window, marcel squints as diminishing afternoon rays of a limping, hazy sun come slicing through half-opened blinds.
some men, he had read [for none had ever declared this truth to the young writer personally], write in a darkened box of a room to fend off all possible distraction from the proper conception and development of their little tales.
that, marcel pondered, was too simplistic an accounting of how one's thoughts truly do go to paper.

Sad yet lovely. I hope things are better today but I'm thankful you use writing as your outlet and share it.

Charlie Sheen
by mrsjones5 ini came rather late to watching the show "two and a half men" and have been watching mostly the reruns, which i have enjoyed immensely (the story lines are funny).
i try to catch the first runs when i can.
to me this show is really a homage of charlie sheen's life.

It's very sad to watch and he looks so thin and weathered. He may not be on drugs now but you can see physically and emotionally the toll they've taken on him.

Pirate News
by free2beme inas news hits again today, that pirates have taken another family off the somalia coast.
i am wondering, is it really possible in 2011 that people in this world have not gotten news that this is a bad place to sail?
i mean, come on people, it is a troubled part of the world and even the military is having a hard time policing it.

I always wonder what they're thinking. They must believe they're untouchable, it happens to everyone else but not to them.

This gave me the rage
by Marmite inpicture the situation:.
a jw sister, let's call her marjorie, has a non jw father who died.
she arranges for an elder to take the funeral at a crematorium and marjorie's non-jw husband pays for a reception at a pub afterwards.. marjorie has a disassociated son.

Wow! Who cares if the JW's can't go because a DF'd person would be there. Family is family, it never fails to surprise me how warped the witnesses make things. I sure wouldn't pay and then accommodate them. What a terrible situation to be put in. I'd be fuming too.

Fantastic CoCo, I'm incredibly inarticulate so I really appreciate your gift as well as others who've put their work up and brought such entertainment on this board.
Bravo!
