Great thread Scully I wasn't expecting what I saw when I opened this page. I haven't laughed so hard in forever.

I also am shy and sometimes introverted, which people OFTEN mistake as me being rude or snobby. So I have to work on that. But I am a very nice, friendly person and I like who I am.

My Dad Isn't There Anymore
by BrendaCloutier init really struck me last night that my dad is pretty much gone.
he has advanced alzheimers, and is slowly dying of kidney failure from 40 years of diabetes.
the family stepped in and said no to dialysis, because it would be 5 hours per day 3 days per week - minimum, for limited return on quality of life.

I'm so sorry, I fear for the day I have to see my parents growing old. This must be an incredibly hard time for you.

I didn't see your other post, did you quit without thinking it through? I've done that before when I've been really mad about work situations, well that and the fact that sometimes I can be very impulsive. But don't stress out about it too much, things have a way usually of working out. And even if you don't get that job back, maybe a different job will come along which you really love. Keep us posted!

How many of you realize this is Quentin's own art work?
If that’s true, very nice work Quentin!

Send greetings to kwintestal and heart2heart
by Scully inwe're awaiting the arrival of kwintestal and heart2heart as they make their long trek back home.
they'll be having dinner with us tonight.. in a couple of hours' time... and i know their computer access has been almost non-existant over the last several days.... so how about sending them a virtual hug and a big hello, which i will print out for them before they set out on their journey again!.
let's make it a nice big thread!

I used to take my coffee in an IV drip!
And I thought I was the only one! I haven’t given up coffee though, I still love it. Just toned it down a bit.
