quick bio: born-in, third gen jw, devout family, dad an elder/po, mom pioneered off/on, baptized at age 10 (my elder dad asked me to wait but i didnt), had overall good childhood, toured bethel, aux pio off/on, finished hs early, reg pio for a year then pio school, met amazing jw girl (also third gen devout), spent a year in community college (paid for by fairly conservative jw parents), got a good job, married amazing jw girl, appointed as ms, delivered public talks and parts on ca/dc, wife and i had first child.

it was a near-storybook jw life (except no bethel).

i had a couple of normal issues in teenage years, but sought the assistance from the elders and ironed it out.

Yes, you are fortunate to have a spouse that has followed/joined you in your exit. I can't think of many things worse than if one partner doesn't 'see the light'.

And yes, an interesting point about anyone getting a parent out too.

Field service reporting

so one of the elders called asking for my time.

i lied, somewhat.

yes i did talk to people about the "truth" but not in favourable terms.. has anyone simply stated, "i have not been in service this month"?

Near the end of her attending meetings Mrs Covenant was asked why she was no longer putting in a field service report by her Group Study Conductor as he was trying to get the time slips in.

Her reply:

''I am not a blind bit interested in saving lives''

He was a little shocked and said 'Oh ok then''.

only if the blood has been broken down into smaller parts that we call fractions.. firstly the 'faithful and discreet' slave are the 10 or so men in brooklyn that make up our organization's governing body.

these men, the 'faithful and discreet slave' class, tell us not to give or receive whole blood or four main parts of blood, based on their understanding of acts 15 and therefore we are obeying jesus' direct commands as explained in the following quote,.

Granted it makes them look like idiots, I think that's the idea, but is there anything untrue in the answer that a genuine Witness could argue against?
