Hi
If we cut out all the crap, the Jehovah's Witness religion KILLS people through their 'blood' policy.
People DIE from following it.
Therefore I am ashamed to say that I was part of it for so long. I used to say, as many who are still in still do, that it's not a bad way of life.
YES IT IS. It KILLS people.
I am now finding it hard to even be in the same room as a 'Witness' as I can't help feeling rage inside whenever I see them.
These people by association are complicit with the deaths of others.
Worse still I was one of them.
And worse still I'm not really doing anything about it. I'm content to drift away so as not to rock the boat with my parents and in laws. I appear therefore to be content to let other people grow up in this cult and run the risk of confronting this situation themselves. And DYING.
I don't know how much longer I can go without blowing up with my parents and making them confront the reality of this religion. I hate it.
Sorry for the vent but as I said I think for all the excuses we make for when we were in and all the excuses we make about fading and not losing partners and upsetting family it is a religion that sacrifices people on the 'blood' altar.
I would be ashamed in the 21st century if I was part of a religion that slit the throats of children on an altar at the top of some steps. I am equally ashamed of having been part of a religion that kills people on a hospital table.
Thanks

Does more pain = more gain?
by ThomasCovenant ingain is the demise of the wt .
pain is more deaths from no blood, more disfellowshippings due to apostasy etc.. .
the reason i ask?

Hi
Gain is the demise of the WT
Pain is more deaths from no blood, more disfellowshippings due to apostasy etc.
The reason I ask? When the blood issue came up in my family it forced me to leave.
If a family have a disfellowshipping in the household because of 'apostasy', otherwise known as expressing doubts, or because of immorality, would this make other family members start to doubt the benefits of continuing in their halfhearted belief.
If the Society eased up on disfellowshipping and the blood issue then many more will think 'it's not all bad I'll stay in it and just do the bare minimum'. The more hardline the Society the more members will get fed up and leave.
Therefore is it better in the long run that people are suffering now ?
Thanks

PS I hope this has come across in the correct manner in which it is meant. Obviously I don't want people to suffer.

'The good outweighs the bad'. I don't think so.
by ThomasCovenant infor most of my 30 years in the 'truth' (age 12-42 thereabouts) i have always doubted many many things taught from the watchtower.
however like many if not most of those brought up in it i got swallowed up in the whole social side of it.
bringing up children in it i told myself that it wasn't such a bad life after all.

Hi
For most of my 30 years in the 'Truth' (age 12-42 thereabouts) I have always doubted many many things taught from the Watchtower. However like many if not most of those brought up in it I got swallowed up in the whole social side of it. Bringing up children in it I told myself that it wasn't such a bad life after all. In the latter years I used to say to my 'elder' brother in law ( who also strongly doubted and now doesn't believe) that although it's not the 'Truth' it's a good way of life and the good things about it outweigh the bad. Therefore I stayed put for far too many years.
When, however a 'bad' thing, ie the blood issue, directly affected me I decide that I was wrong all the time. The bad definitely outweighs the good.
People living a supposed moral life with a large social circle does not outweigh people dying from the blood policy and families and friends torn apart because of the shunning policy.
Why did I not see it before? Possibly because it never affected me personally. I didn't know anyone who had died from the blood issue, I knew of no child abuse, there weren't many disfellowshippings, no divorces and I did enjoy many years of friendship with many people. Probably this is most peoples experience.
Coming to this website I now realize that there are a lot of people who have suffered greatly because of this religion throughout the world. The internet brings these widely distributed cases to my one little computer at home.
More importantly there are definitely more local cases of divorce, separation, disfellowshippings and families splitting apart as younger ones and those hitting their 40's leave.
In a way I'm glad that the 'blood' issue forced me into a decision.
Thanks

Moon Landings - Real or Fake?
by Black Man ini've always wondered about this, especially recently.
i've always contended that they were real and ignored the conspiracy theories.
but if they were real, why hasn't nasa been able to send a man to the moon since the 1970s?

This was the actual conversation between the head of NASA and his minions back in the mid 60's as recorded by my spies.
"Right lads. It now seems obvious we are not going to be able to get to the moon for real so we are going to fake it. We are going to run a massive risk that no one out of the thousands of people involved are going to find out and tell on us and that the Russians won't find out and discredit us in front of the world. But, rather than just say we can't manage it just yet we'll carry on with the charade and hope we don't get caught. If we get caught out we are going to look like fools to everyone. But we have to be first to appear get a man there."
Then after the "successful" landings my little spies picked up this recording:
"Well congratulations everybody on a very successful hoax. I have to admit it was touch and go many times but we pulled it off. Of course we will have to keep this between our thousands of selves till the day we all die with no exceptions. I am very proud of you all. In fact I am so proud of you that I have decided to risk it all over again.
And again.
And again.
And again.
And again."
Believe that and you'll believe............?
Thanks
