well, last night was from hell.

about four months ago my wife and i brought in to our house a stray kitten.

i remember being told that the reason witnesses experience difficulties in life is because the devil is concentrating his efforts on "gods people".

and that he doesn't care about the "people of the world" because he already has turned them away from "the truth".

from what i've noticed from this forum, their are plenty of people who are experiencing some bad situations.

i've been lurking for some time and now its time for me to say hello.

i want to call myself sam on here to avoid any repercussions, whatever they may be i have learnt to cover my back in this life from the experiences i now ask if i may relate.

i was born into a black working class household in england to a mother who had remarried after splitting up with her first husband in barbados.

I'm with Daystar. I'd love to hear more about your experiences at Bethel. When I was young I wanted to go so badly. I am so glad that it never happened. My best friend went and came back completely different. He was cursing, and had had a sexual encounter with a sister from his hall in his room at Bethel! As to getting your family out, you should read posts from ithinkisee. I think what he has been able to do will encourage you.

My daughter and her grandparents

since i talked to my father after my disfellowshipping and he hung up on me, i haven't talked to my mom or dad.

last month when we were in ontario i talked to my uncle and aunts about how my parents are treating us (shunning) and we got a lot of support from them, and they can't understand why my mom and dad would treat us like that.

anyway, my 7 year old daughter overheard the conversations, even though i was trying to keep the situation away from her as i don't think a child really needs to know all the details of the situation.. on the drive home out of the blue my daughter says she wants to call my parents, so we ask why?

Wow. First time I'm gonna have to back Derrick. Your daughter isn't disfellowshipped. In the congregation as I remember it there was a great deal of admonition NOT to allow the children to feel the pain of their parents decisions by making sure that they felt as though they were still members of the congregation. In fact, people made a point to reach out to my sisters children when she was df'd. Your parents have their wires crossed and appear to be making blanket decisions that shield their emotions instead of reaching out to a child who obviously needs/craves/misses their attention.

several times i have had dreams that i was dating richard gere!

not sure of the worst, cause i have had many, but one dream, my closet door flew open with wind and lights and noises coming out of it.

i woke up sweating, screaming, and crying!

I have died so many times in dreams. I feel the physical pain. Crushing. I have woken up and felt like a truck hit me.

Once I had a dream that was disturbing. I then realized I was dreaming and then began controlling the dream. I was alone. I destroyed entire cities and created new ones in their place. Then I began flying. Such a cool dream. God complex for sure.

I had one that was the most disturbing I have ever had. I dreamed that I was having an intimate relationship with my mother. I wanted to throw up. I couldn't find my voice to tell her that I thought it was wrong and inappropriate. Horrible dream.

I am not sneaky. There you go putting your foot in your mouth again. Did I say how you are coolhand? You seem to think that a person is a child as long as they do not agree with you and give you simple answers. What are you a lawyer?

When was the first time I put my foot in my mouth? I do not recall. Perhaps I did. If so, please correct me and I will defend my position. Funny Hibiscus, children only give simple answers. Truth finds its rightful place in simplicity. In that manner, you are childish, simple. However, another characteristic of children is honesty. I wallow and seek out those with different opinions from myself. These help me to learn. I try to read everything you post in just that attempt. I think you are childish because you never give me what I am really jonesing for: Truth, intelligence, an established position, well supported, valiently defended. A lawyer could ask for nothing better. I am not a lawyer. I am a truth seeker. My greatest fear is that you are not and my hopes in reading the things that you write will be dashed to my great disappointment. A follow up question: You seemed more offended by my post in this thread than any other. Even more than Mrs. Jones. Am I to assume that I've hit closer to home than anyone?

I am torn about replying to this because I so firmly disagree with your position most of the time. This plea has nothing to do with that and so neither shall my response. I'm going to respond on a human level because at the end of the day, we all have similar needs. As much as you will not want to, I suggest you run. It will clear your mind and give you a focal point for negative energy. Next, I suggest you do something about your self dialogue. You must combat negative feelings. You can make yourself feel any way you want to. I know that must sound like a load, but it is the truth. If it works for you, pray. Pray openly, not structured. Lay it out there. 'God I feel like crap. I don't want to. This is why. Help me. Without your help, I'm not going to get through this.' Just be honest with yourself about the outside stress. Is it something that you can eliminate. If so, do it. Bite the bullet and confront whatever it is that is causing the stress. You have control over nothing save yourself. Exercise it.
