call the clergy the swine class after the wts had allegedly been appointed as
the fds in 1919.

a bethel insider in the know told me that all of the child abuse lawsuits where the watchtower bible and tract society was one of the defendants were settled back in the beginning of this year.
i questioned it and called napa myself and they were absolutely settled back then.
I'd really love to see the media pick this up because while I agree few care about JWs, the pedofile "preacher" story is one that is always of interest
I'd like to see the media pick up on this one as well, and I think it could generate
more than the usual interest in jws.
Two things that almost everyone knows about jws are their blood policy and that
they spread their beliefs by knocking on peoples doors. If the public at large were
to see that the watchtower has a child abuse problem that they are determined to
conceal at all costs, it might make them just a little suspicious of the real motives
of some of those who are visiting their homes, and the jws could suffer a backlash
because of it.
okay i already asked a question earlier on being disassosiated now i'm wondering who this scripture applys to if not those in my place or disfellowshiped ones.
surly it doesn't apply only to those who are inactive since the son left to do his own thing.....
It should apply to people like yourself, who leave the religion and later express
a desire to return. That is obvious from the parable itself.
However, the watchtower have introduced all these non-scriptural rules regarding
those who wish to return, so rather than making you feel welcome to be coming back,
they make you feel most unwelcome for at least 6 months, and maybe longer.
In my experience, they always seemed very mistrustful towards those who had
strayed and wished to return, which is most likely why they make it so difficult
to do. It's like they are punishing you twice for daring to leave in the first place.

They are indeed. They are working exceptionally hard to keep it a secret from their members.
Just remember NIRYA/NIRY/QBert/Fred E Hathaway, the watchtower settled out of court in
all 14 child abuse lawsuits that were being brought against them. Knowing there aversion to
parting with money, if they thought any could have been won, they would have pursued them,
so settling in the way they have looks pretty much like an admission of guilt, or the nearest
thing to one that we'll ever get from the watchtower, to me
if the end is so close as they told me then why?
why did they build all those new buildings up in bethel costed millions first of i wanna know how they can afford i thought they were a none profit so how you end up with millions ?
how can they afford to pay the superentendents (rent them cars , pay there meals , lodging) where does this money come from rent stadiums for assembly's i wana know why those bigshots in bethel drive nice cars when jesus walked and the one time he rode a mule not a horse a mule !

Don't worry about jw speculation, as that's all it is, about the end being near.
They've been saying that for 130+ years, and even predicted a few of the dates
when it would happen, but we're all still here.
As for making money well, like most other cults they are totally obsessed with
that.
i recently went to my first sunday "bible study".
i have heard my jw say that he goes to 3 meetings per week.
so, what are the other two meetings about and when do they hold those?
There are actually 5 meetings per week, on 3 separate days.
The Sunday meetings are the public talk, followed by the watchtower study
which is classed as a separate meeting
Tuesday/Thursday - theocratic ministry school, followed by Service meeting
Tuesday/Thursday - congregation book study, currentl using the Revelation Climax
book, which is usually held in members houses in the congregation territory.
The purpose of all these meetings is to keep the current members indoctrinated,
as well as getting interested persons well versed in the cult jw's beliefs. There is
no reason why you can't attend all of them if you so wish.

it seems like i remember a few months ago that ak-jeff or maybe someone else alluded to an article from the last few years that definitelty stated that christ did not die for the great crowd.
Depending on whether you believe the bible or not, I guess Paul could
have been referring to the emergence of cults like the watchtower when
he wrote this, in 2Timothy 3
5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6 For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

do the elders have to reinstate you if you start going back to meetings.
i was told a while back that you would be treated as a person on reproff with all restrictions but now i'm hearing that if i go back i will have to wait to be reinstated.....this is such bullsh**.
i really don't want to go back...but my grandmother just passed away last week and i went to the service(it was at the kh) and was able to see my family that for 4 years now has bearly talked to me...and i go to see my 2 beautiful nieces...whom i would love to have a relationship with.....so i started thinking maybe i could go to a few meetings to be able to have something to do with them.....well i went today....i was so upset earlier that i went and smoked a bit to calm me down...heeeeeeee .....so anyway....i was soo irritated and bored all the f-ing answers that some of them come up with....i guess i just keep thinking about the other side...they really do think that those of us on the outside are miserable......i was more miserable today then i have been in years just sitting there trying to pretend.
If you really want to go back, they will possibly allow it, but they will make
you wait for at least 6 months, and probably longer. They will certainly ask you
why you chose to disassociate, and you would probably have to study with a
sister who, in their eyes, is spiritually mature while you were waiting. They
will expect you to attend meetings at the kingdom hall regularly, and sit at the
back, during which time you will be shunned by the rest of the congregation.
If you are eventually reinstated, you will still most likely be restricted for a while,
and still viewed with suspicion by many of the members for months or even
years after your reinstatement.
If you are desperate enough to get back to be able to tolerate that kind of
treatment, then I wish you well. I disassociated myself, and wouldn't set
foot in a kh ever again. I'd rather have my teeth pulled without the use of
anaesthetic than give those charlatans the satisfaction of seeing me there.

have a moment of silence?.
I told a jw who still speaks to me about it a week or so after it had happened,
and that was the first he'd heard of it. He has yet to hear anything from any of
his elders, several weeks after the event.
