  Been gone awhile.(Rough past few three months)

  i have'nt been here for awhile.the family and i went through a very rough time over the past three months.most of it has been jw related and how negatively the teachings have affected a brother of my wife who has been diagnosed with bipolar.however,that i will leave for a different discussion.we have managed to pull through it all and we are slowly picking up the pieces.

  i am also hard at work putting the final touches to my book.i will keep you posted on the release date.

  this past weekend i stepped into a kingdom hall after more than two years.i attended a jw funeral of a friend who was not a jw.his family are all jws and i was actually surprised that permission was given to them to have it conducted in the kingdom hall.halfway through the talk i got up and walked out of the hall.i could not bare to listen to the pathetic reasoning laid out by the elder during his talk.hardly any comfort was given to the family in the talk.as one other poster mentioned,it all become just one big jw presentation and "sales talk".this was probably done because of the many non-jws that were in attendance.

  Hi jakes, good to see you again, sorry you've had some tough times of late, but it's good you've got through them, and things are picking up now.

  JW funerals are the worst, I would never attend one.

  as i stand on the #7 train going home after dropping my daughter off at school, i started thinking about this crowded train; and all of the people on it.

  most are going to their jobs in manhattan.

  .Imagine one little guy has more power over a multi-million publishing company than it has over him! I can sway their devotees. I can talk to the media. I can help destroy their reputation. I can take donations out of their pockets by helping to expose their treachery. I can deprive them of me and my daughter contributing anything to their worldwide work. And they are powerless to do anything meaningful about it.

  That is so true. We can say anything we want to against them, and they can do nothing to silence us, and they know it. It's people like us that will bring them down eventually, as we continue to expose them for the charlatans they are. I don't know if I'll see them fall in my lifetime, but I hope so.

  You are right Warlock, it has been a good week, but so is every week on here

  With the thread minimus started about how far we moved up in the Org. along with all these other threads, the Org. lost a BUNCH OF GOOD PEOPLE

  They did indeed, and will lose a lot more in the future.

  Relationships With Witnesses or ExJWs----Are They Easy To Deal With??

  most of us are either exjws or on the way out.

  how are your relationships affected by those that never were witnesses?

  if you're married or dating someone that never was a jw, is it difficult?

  I remember when I was first out, around 7 years ago, one or two people who had a little knowledge of jw teachings used to ask me "how could you believe this ..........". I used to dread those questions, as the main reason I left was because I no longer believed wts doctrine,and find it kind of difficult to explain to anyone why I ever accepted it in the first place, which was often the next question they would ask.

  Some of my work colleagues, who had known me pre jw, as a jw and post jw, would ask the same sort of questions as well. I used to get a little defensive when people were firing those kind of questions at me, but nowadays, after just over 7 years out, they are used to me being an ex jw, and the interrogations have ceased.

  No problem for me Minimus. All my close friends know I'm an ex jw, and don't really mention it, unless I do.

  They know how much I hate the wtbts nowadays, and are aware that I work against their interests as much as I can, but don't try to advise me about it in any way. In fact, I am pretty sure that some of them approve of what I'm doing, they don't like jws much either.

  The New Watchtower Arrangement and Breakfast Cereal

  in the near future there will be a watchtower that only jw`s can read.what you don`t know is,only jehovah`s witness`s with secret "decoder rings" can read it.....as many of you know,all dead jehovah`s witness`s are being sent to the wbt$.some will be stuffed and sent back to kindom halls.this will help bring up meeting attendance.the rest are being used in the new wbt$ breakfast cereal "dub puffs"..jehovah`s witness`s can get thier secret "decoder ring" by sending in 6 box tops from the new wbt$ breakfast cereal "dub puffs" and thier first born..buy "dub puffs" by the box or by the case..be the first to be able to read the watchtower in your kingdom hall!

  I can almost see them going for the idea of stuffing dead jws and sending them to kh's if meeting attendance continues to fall.
