this may have already been discussed in this or other forums and i may have missed it.. in another thread chipster mentioned something about coming up for reappointment after a move.
especially if i was coming up for reappointent after a move.
it has always been a puzzle to me why a brother should have to be reappointed to his position after he moves to another congregation.. i have never heard anyone complain about it.
I know it was a dumb question to ask.
I just wanted to get any onlookers to start thinking so that they can do the research that is needed to free themselves from this cult.

I have never heard anyone complain about it. If appointments are truly made by holy spirit then why is it necessary for a brother to have to be reappointed when he moves to another congregation.
I know of a case where a brother moved and his new congregation refused to reappoint him. He was the same person. Nothing changed about him. What do you suppose happened to the holy spirit that appointed him in the first place.
Why should reappointment be necessary at all?
Any comments?

i wish to conduct a legitimate poll, or at least as legitimate as it can get on this forum.
unless you are or were a jw, please do not respond or make comments.
please simply give an answer, without extended comments.

it seems like to me the majority of people who are in the truth, are were in the truth was a result of either a family member are a friend witnessing to them and not many seem to have been found in the door to door work.. from my years of associating with the borg i cannot recall many coming in the truth from the door to door work.. how were you sucked in?
for me it was my aunt who has now even though i am not disfellowshipped decided to write me out of her will to the tune of about $150,000.00 (maybe i should hang around a couple more years)dont think i will.. please respond .
thanks.
I was influenced into coming in by my wife.
She was influenced because of the death of our son and the hope of seeing him again in the resurrection.
She sought out a bible study because she had studied briefly when she was a little girl. Her father was probably found in the D2D.

this friday the elders are coming over to discuss my da letter.
i keep studying and thinking of what i want to say.
i'm sure they'll open with a prayer.
Jurs,
It sounds like you are determined to meet with these elders.
I am with Farkel on this. I would also advise you not to meet with them.
I agree with Mulan that they are out to try and disfellowship you for something if they can.
I would be willing to bet that they do not give you a chance to tell them anything. You have already said that in the DA letter that you wrote.
I wish you the best and please let us know how the visit went.
regards
Chester

Your comments indicate you don't really know how the "system" really works.

had enough asked :.
if you haven't already related to us the experiences at bethel that you told to your mom-in-law, (or even if you already have told us) could you tell us about what you told her.....and...what is "g-jobbing" (sorry for my naivity) .
i didn't want to take away from sl post about his mother but i thought a little insight into the world of the bethelites would be interesting this am.
That is amazing!!
I would never have guessed it.
