In today's New York Times there was a story of an 18 year old young woman in Darfur. She and others were taking wood and other commodities to a nearby town to sell. On the way back they were attacked by the murderers and rapists that snake around their country. This young woman was raped along with other women. Her father had already been killed by these murderers and her mother was previously injured.
Her fate? She will and must continue to collect and sell firewood in nearby towns so that she and her mother will survive.
Yes, courage comes in many forms. As JWs and exJWs we have needed courage but I think it's good to remember there are those in the world whose lives are also devastated and who nontheless must continue on.
As for me, I have no courage only determination.
