We have the Truth, We have the Truth, We have the Truth, We have the Truth!
by nicolaou init's always fun (well for a geek like me anyway), to take a quote from a wt mag' and tweak it to show clearly the duplicitous nature of the writers.
the first quote below has not been touched - compare it the one beneath.. nic' .

What's the word?
by bagpuss inif you could sum up your time in the borg with just one word, what would it be and why?.
for me it would be guilt.
guilt about not doing enough ministry, not enough study, doing too much secular work, the list seems endless.on the odd occasions i felt i'd done quite well you can bet we'd have a talk saying more, more more!.

I'de have to say, GUILT!
Guilt that I could never be a super witness, study for all meetings, read the bible everyday, have a family study, be at all 5 meetings and on time, preach, preach, preach, not watch rated R movies while being an adult, so many things they put on people unnecessarily, they live in that Tower and have all their needs met, then they expect everyone out here in the real world to live up to their stupid unrealistic goals.
Yeah, absolutely, GUILT!

Some members of my family and I are currently attending meetings here and there but we no longer believe this is the truth (we are faders). I found out some things that were truly disturbing about this religion, I didn't want to believe it, so I researched some more to try to disprove it, but it turned out to be true, then there were other things that I found, finally at the point we are now, it's like finding your true self again, it's like living your life for the first time, when all the fears are lifted and you no longer believe that the Great Tribulation is coming, or the Armaggedon, that this life is the one you need to be living and making the most of, it's like having a heavy weight lifted off your back, the joy and peace is truly amazing, for the first time in years I feel truly happy, there is so much to look forward to, so much to experience, that I held back from because of the negative ideas the WTS paints about this world.
Coming back to Jehovah? If you are talking about God the Creator, I never left him, my family and I still believe in God, we just don't believe in Religion any Religion, we are pretty much like Deists. I've researched who the God called Jehovah was in ancient times, it's something you should research, reality is quite different than the illusion we lived as JW's, I've researched the Bible, I't also something you should research, who wrote it? where did the israelites get their ideas from? Who wrote the New Testament? reality here is also quite different than what we were taught to believe.
Going back to where we were before in this religion? Would you go back to the religion you left before you became a JW assuming you belonged to another? No, I think there is no possible way, once you have proven to yourself what the truth about the JW's is, there just isn't any way you can go back and unlearn it all. I suggest that if you are happy and feel fulfilled there, then stay. But if you feel the heavy load, the lack of love, the guilty feeling when leaving the assemblies, and meetings because you know you can't do more, all this is an indication that something is wrong, then I would tell you to research the religion you are following because it will have a big impact on the rest of your life and your kids lives if you have any.
I don't hold any grudges against any of the brothers at the hall, they are wonderful people, misguided, but they aren't to blame. My beef is with the leadership, for exerting so much control over others even when it has meant the loss of precious lives, children and adults with incredible god given talent that will never develop it because they are told to put the WTS first, people living close to poverty level because they were told the end was just around the corner so don't get an education, don't get a better paying job, don't live you life, instead live the life that is prescribed by the Society.
Thankfully my children will be free to reach their goals, and use their true god given talents, to be who they want to be, as long as they don't hurt anyone in the process, and actually contribute to humanity, to this earth, to helping people reach their goals and to make this a better place for everyone. I don't think this life is all there is, I really believe we go on after death, and I believe we will be with our loved in another realm after we die. So you see, we have left the beliefs but we are happy regardless, we have hope, we have faith, we have love, and we have FREEDOM!

One of the things I'm most thankfull for, is learning the truth about the "Truth" now while my children are still young enough to undo the brainwashing before they mess up their lives in this religion, a while back we would tell our children that it was a real priviledge to go to Bethel, that it was the best place to go after you graduate from School, BUT, then we found out the way things really are, and HELL NO, MY CHILDREN WILL NEVER GO TO BETHEL! We were so blind.

Does God care for people in India and China?
by JH in.
if only witnesses have the truth and only them will be saved, i guess that god doesn't care much for people in india and china (who represent together about half of the world's population).. out of the 2.5 billion people in both countries combined, how many witnesses can there be?.
a rough guess: 1 witness per 100,000 population

It appears that God, and Jesus don't care about them hearing the message there and also Bithynia- Acts 16:6-7 : 6Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. 7When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. So I guess what Jesus really said was to preach in all the inhabited world except for these two places, go figure.

No lawyers in 1st century congregation?
by ringo5 inwhere is the 1st century example of a legal department, that we can pattern this aspect of our worship after, today?
where's the "antitypical lawyer and insurance adjuster class" mentioned that justifies the huge wts legal dept.?
i mean, the gospel writers obviously didn't submit their writings to any legal dept.

ICBehindtheCurtain
Why does the WTS even have lawyers? What, they don't TRUST IN JEHOVAH to protect his Borganization? That in itself should send a red flag to the R&F but the poor fools are so blinded that they never even think about that.
The WTS has the perfect RACKET going, I tell you they are Geniuses when it comes to running a total scam. They have employees (bethelites) that work for free, other employees that teach the crap full time (pioneers) for free, yet other employees that teach the brainwashing to the masses (CO's & PO's) pretty much for free with the exception of the R & F paying for their insurance's, and so on, and all the money they rake in, from investments in Real Estate, Rand CAM, Phillip Morris etc., they get that TAX FREE, WOW WHAT A SCAM!
