after lady liberty gave a link to the new re-examine site, i found some details that are so disturbing its boggling my mind.. first, the original presidents were voted in, but not one vote per person but for every $10.00 contributed you received a vote.
so those already in power and with much money had tremendous sway as to who got in and who didn't.
this little scheme was not stopped until 1944.. so when rutherford was "elected by a unanimous vote" we can assume it was mainly of his own doing based on money contributed.

i had a long conversation last night with an old jw friend whose sister and brother-in-law are bethelites since the 1970s.
she is an artist, and he runs a small but important department there.. we were talking about the bethel downsizing (my friend was well aware of it), and i told him i figured his sister and b-i-l would be safe due to the fact that they are now in their 60s and have something close to 4 decades seniority.
but he said no, that they were worried that they would be asked to leave as well, sent into the circuit work or as special pioneers sent where the "need is great.".
Phil that was EXCELLENT!!!! Thank you for sharing that, this one's a keeper. It's amazing that in the 1700's people were figuring out what BS the whole religious system is, and 3 centuries later, here we are, so many people still believing this nation was founded on Christianity, and more amazing that people still choose to believe in that old book of fables, stories and horrors.

sorry to burden you all with this but i really have no one that i want to talk about this with, i'm afraid that i will burst into tears and wont be able to stop if i call any of my friends and tell them what's going on.
my little sister has been ill with a fever for three weeks, her doctor kept telling her it was just a bad case of the flu and that she had an ear infection, he gave her antibiotics and sent her home.
((((((((((((Lola)))))))))))) I sincerely hope they can find out what is causing these symptoms, you will be in our thoughts. When a close family member was diagnosed with leukemia, we took him to a freind who is a homeopathic doctor and put him on a treatment that would help with this before he went to conventional doctors for his treatment, this helped him tremendously, he has been in remission for about 6 mos. and is feeling and looking great. He looked very, very ill before this. I hope she recuperates.

GREAT! you guys are doing a great thing, saving the lives of those poor brainwashed people , my husband and I (faders) started doing this and helped quite a few out, mostly family and very close freinds, but as time wore on, we just couldn't stomach the meetings, and so....we haven't attended in about 3 mos, that's the longest we've stayed away, it's so great....we just don't want to go back.
Good luck to you, I hope you are able to help many people out.
One thing I think we can still do, and a few here are doing, is informing the public about this Cult, that way the householders answering the doors won't be caught offguard and will not listen to anything the JW's have to say, maybe they could have flyers to give to the JW's with facts about the WTS....that would be great!
