I once did, when I was a blinded JW, but now I no longer believe in the concept having to confess anything to God, or in the concept of sin so I don't pray for forgiveness of anything. When I pray it's only in gratitude for different things.

we have various types of people on this board, some believers in god, others atheists, some agnostics, and others still jw's at heart.. in your opinion, what do you believe happens to a person one minute after they die?
how about if they are good or bad?.
outaservice ( inquiring minds want to know) .
Jaguarbass, I really liked your post, it's somewhat similar to the conclusion I've arrived at. I believe that I am eternal, that I've lived before in another body, and will return again to live another experience. I do believe in God and I believe we are all part of that entity. I no longer fear death (as in fearing that this is the end of my being), of course not that I want to die, it's just that I still have many things I want to do before I leave this particular experience, mainly see my kids grow up.
Oh, and one minute after I die, my spirit will rise above my body and realize that my time in this experience is up, and I will return to Paradise and eventually come back again.

The is a great letter! I wish I could anonymously send this to some witness freinds of mine who are slaving big time for this Borg, wasting their lives living in need, just to pioneer, some to be pioneers and elders it's really very sad. I'm glad you abandoned that mess.
If there was a way to send this anonymously, I would!

they were acting on a tip and raided an apartment in kirkwood missouri..not only did they find the white truck..and the boy..they found a boy that was abducted almost 5 years ago.both seemed to be in good condition.. both boys lived in rural parts of missouri also.. that just doesn't happen!
can you imagine..the parents of the first one abducted had started the fingerprint children system a while back.. i bet their parents are so happy..i am... they will tell us more later..this is going to be very interesting!.
just thought i would share..good things don't seem to happen very often in these kind of cases.. snoozy....
That is indeed GREAT NEWS! Thanks for sharing!

i had an assignment to write a bunch of holiday articles that would be shared by all the various papers owned by the guy who owns the paper i'm the editor of.
after i'd had enough with the usual holiday stuff, i decided to get a little adventerous and expanded one in the series to include, not just the origins of christmas foods, but also some ideas i've been reading and watching about the origins of the chrisitain religion itself.. this is a link to the article, which ran a few weeks ago: .
http://www.messagefortheweek.com/main.asp?sectionid=1&subsectionid=20&articleid=849.
I think your article was great! It's time people start opening their eyes and finding out the truth about how Christianity came about. As with the JW religion, "If it doesn't survive scrutiny it's a load of BS"!

hey everyone, i'm new here and i would really like to discuss your views on who jesus is.. please feel free to list any scripture, and i will do the same.. here are a few scriptures that may help:.
1. in the book of isaiah 7:14 jehovah prophesied that there would be a child born of a virgin, and that his name would be immanuel, which means god with us.. 14 therefore the lord himself will give you a sign: the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him immanuel (which means god with us).. 2. in the book of john, jesus also encourages us to pray to him by saying "if you ask anything in my name, i will do it.".
john 14:14. if you askanything in my name, i will do it.. 3. here are a few instances of people worshipping jesus:.
I believe that Jesus might have been a man trying to preach a new idea, that only love was necessary....sorta like the Beatles "All you need is love", or maybe he was a radical trying to empower his people to overtake the Romans....We will never know the total truth. He never professed to be the son of god, he just didn't dispute it....or so it says in the bible. If you go to this website www.jesusneverexisted.com and read the material on there, and still believe Jesus is who you now think he is, then my freind by all means keep on keeping on....check it out if you dare.

i remember the watchtower organization having me so scared of jehovah that i was getting paranoid.
i kept thinking he was watching me no matter where i was at.
i wouldn't dare say anything bad against the organization because jehovah was listening to me.
Absolutely NOT! I don't believe in that lying, selfish, abusive, phsycotic man made god anymore than I believe in Santa Claus, oh wait....no, Santa is real ! I do however believe in a Creator, and instead of me being afraid of him, I am at times in awe when contemplating his creation.
IC
the door to door work is a sham.. the central activity of the watchtower bible and tract society is not spreading their so-called "messege" about the kingdom of jehovah established in the heavens in 1914. that's a load of propaganda.. the door to door activity is feckless in producing converts.
in fact, it is an immense failure of mammoth proportions!.
but, it is a diversion.
Excellent thread Terry! I've often wondered about this. When talking to my mom who is a regular pioneer for quite a few years, I asked her how many people she has brought into this religion, her answer "0" none, nada, they either moved away, or just lost interest. I totally agree, the preaching mostly helps them stay busy. And boy would I love to know where the money is going!

recently e-watchman started deleting/suspending (theres a difference?
) accounts of people on the e-jehovahs-witnesses.com forum left and right which he and the moderating team deemed to be discussing apostate things as in apostate in brother kings own vision, further detailed in some posts (basicly barring out discussions of jw doctrine).. i suppose my own offenses was my "staying in the org.
" thread and one that explained that one should not depend on kh's to be able of worshipping.
Hi Spiceant, I used to be on e-watchman's forum "Paradise Cafe" about a year ago but decided to leave after I kept researching and decided the whole JW thing is a big lie, it seems e-watchman is still hell bent on thinking that there is some credibility to that religion. I also did not agree with this banning thing, doesn't he realize people are tired of being restricted from speaking their minds? That website helped me to start opening my eyes without feeling too uneasy about being in an "apostate" website, since in the beginning he was an active JW, it wasn't till later when he got DF'd. I'm glad your'e here Spiceant, were a much nicer group, diverse, intelligent, and fun!
