  EX JWs - What planted the seed in your mind?

  i'm interested in finding out what planted the seed in your mind that got you started on questioning the watchtower.

  what issue, event, or idea started you on the path to rejecting the watchtower?

  and while we're at it, what event was the straw that broke the camel's back, that pushed you over the edge to finally quitting the organization?

  back in 1990, i remember a talk during a convention, the brother said that the end was less than 10 years away.... ha

  i am 21 and i remember just 4 years ago going to college was looked at as something negative.

  girls my age, we had plans to be ft pioneers and become secretaries.

  i was talking to my father about the awake!

  mag talking about christianity and how their followers were losing faith and trust in the religion because doctrines have changed.

  what was once a sin five yrs ago is no longer a sin.

  they have courageously fought and many have gone to jail for their human rights.

  all are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law.

  Howdy - Help needed

  i've been lurking for about two months because i have a friend who's a jw and i was interested in finding more out about his religion.

  i started asking him things about it and he would get a bit cagy and wondered why i was asking.

  how does this impact our sexual, emotional, and romantic relationships and how can the non-addicted partner cope with any feelings of deception and betrayal?
