Panicattack Update on my wife and family situation(thanks for helping guys)
by PaNiCAtTaCk inthis is an update for any who have kept up with some of my former posts and have taken time out of their lives to give me advice on dealing with situations like having a wife who still believes and a child starting kindergarden.
these situations can quickly turn into a life crisis when a person doesnt know the proper way to deal with these things or know where to turn for help.
i am indebted to the internet and also websites like this for helping me to break free.

The latest JW pick up line
by DevonMcBride inthis week, one of my adult students told me a jehovah's witness knocked on her door and said he was there to teach her about "travel and tourism.
" not realizing who or what he was, she listened further and he went on to say that god had a reason for natalie halloway's disappearance.
at that point she told the old geezer she wasn't interested and closed the door.. i told her she should have asked him to ask god how to get the lowest prices on airline tickets.

Reasons You Shouldn't Go To Meetings
by minimus inlet's give some good reasons why meetings suck.

You shouldn't go if you want to grow a beard, Although an Elder told me one that it was ok for the black brothers to grow one because their hair folicles are different and they get ingrown hairs often
Lol no wonder why nobody goes crazy when I have a goatee. If I use a razor it gets bumpy and yucky.
My reason is because you miss a good Tv show. I hate missing American Idol results shows. Oops Idolatry..
But meetings are a great place to sleep, its so comfortable with the AC :D

HUGE QUESTION!
by stillAwitness ini been meaning to figure out the ansewr to this question for like 3 weeks now but been too afraid of course to ask anyone in the congreagtion since my questions tend to be more questionable than a simple inquiry.
anyways a young girl in my hall was announced as "no longer being one of jehovah's wittnesses."??
weird.

How many other young JWs do you know that are like you? What I mean is, how many have your critical eye and would be likely to check things out on the 'net?
I wonder that too, it has gotten to the point where i'm the last one in my peer group left to not get baptized. Only one lady has bothered me about it, but no one else has. I wonder if my congregation is verry loose on how strict the WTBTS wants them to be. I see some kids baptized who I find to be too wordly to be but its just my observation. I wonder if they got baptized because they were forced to and didn't really understand the seriousness of it, or they really did want to be baptized. Only when the CO comes everyone goes into strict mode.

Hm i noticed that too, two girls in my congregation hummed rap music that debases, and infront of baptized kids, and even asked the baptized kids if they knew the song. I'm not sure if the girls were baptized or not but their parents are 100% proud JWs.
Lol you can see Debase is my favorite word now.

I had a book study today, and Ya i found it funny that they quoted a french dictionary on the meaning of lycanthropy, and I couldn't figure out why in the world would they pick that one. I thought the definition was referring to Furries whom a few of them dress up like animals and have conventions. But who knows, and this is the first time I came face to face with the 607 BCE definition, and even from that I still don't get it. The "friends" comments weren't really on explaining the 607 BCE, they just quoted the article. They just stuck onto the idea of Nebachudnezzar's picture and how crazy he looked and how powerfull god was for making him act like that. One lady commented on, how we should be carefull because god can make lycanthropy happen to any of us. I just went WTF?? in my head after she said that.
Evidently from her comment I found that God puts mental illnesses in people because they were too pridefull!
My mom called The mayor of New Orleans, Nebachudnezzar, to try make the bible story more real in my day and i just went -

I love house and breakbeats music. I love progressive breaks too. Is breakbeats an Aussie thing or do you guys have it there too?
America is the worst place to listen to electro music. Breakbeats aren't really popular here. Its all mainstream vs Indie. On the radio the most popular are HipHop, Emo, Rock, and Pop. Even though most people make fun of Emo, i find the people who dress, and listen to it, interesting. Now some stations will play obscure stuff, like Indie. Then very rarely some will play really obscure music, like progressive house, drumnbass, one here plays nujazz. Only because progressive House plays in clubs, its really the only popular obscure music that can be played on the radio every hour.
Garage / 2step music, i'm not an expert on explaining it but, its like taking Deep House, changing the beat so that it uses a calypso beat, then using R&B singers and stacotta notes. Sometimes the music is very melodius, and sometimes its very abstract and similar to HipHop, except for the beat.
I know it exists in UK clubs, except i'm hearing some people getting tired of it, or that it has gotten too mainstream over there.

A must read!!!! Reminded me of the dub's paradise!
by kittyeatzjdubs ina recent thread that was started about the dubs view of remarrying in paradise reminded me of a book i read many times in high school.. the giver by lois lowry.
it's basically about a boy who grows up in a perfect utopian world.
there's one elderly man who remembers how the real world was and he passes the truth on to the boy.

I read it in middle school, and it scared me for such a place could ever exist. The plot now evidently foreshadows our earth today.
